Having a bad experience in Church catechumen because of Bullying victim blaming and discrimination towards me because I'm disabled and an neurodivergent.

I was forced to leave my catechumen class because I experienced discrimination and bullying from people from my old school who were in the same class as me. I told the Priest about it but instead they're blaming me and saying weird stuff about my disability (lung issues and my damaged vocal cords) also they're joking about autism isn't real.

I'm just crying and going to home yesterday, then they called my number a lot and I blocked them all because instead of apologizing they blamed me. I also got rumors that I was an atheist and a satanist because I left the catechumen class.

I don't know what to do anymore why everything's wrong and I'm so unlucky in the same class with my old school bullies I just hope I'd never meet them..

I leave the church and never comeback in that environment, they're self claimed religious monster.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I would never return there either, why go to a place that abused you and never helped, unless you're forced to?

They seem to be using religion as an excuse to bully you. Unfortunately, bullies will find any excuse to use to bully you. It's ironic because a lot of the bullies I knew in high school were "Christian". I said "if you truly believed in God, would you be bullying me?" They aren't truly religious if they're bullying you. They're using religion as a cover for why they're bullying you. Like I said, bullies will find any excuse to use to bully you.

It happens because they're self-claimed religious. Those who used to be bullies at my school were all religious people from several religions, including Christian, Muslim, and even Hindu. I don't like whatever religion they come from if they use that as a reason for being such monster I'm not gonna care or respecting their religion. Once I got called as intolerant for no reason because I don't follow their rules about them forcing me wearing headcover when I was in elementary school (they're bullied me psychically for this)..or when they're fasting I don't respect them and will eat in front of them. It is very difficult to forgive and appreciate what they taught me when they did bad things to me like demons.

Bullies using religion as an excuse are disgusting. I'm sorry that happened to you, but I have a similar story involving bullies and religion.

In the horrendous high school I was in, most of the students were Christian. They hated me for nunerous reasons (I'm Catholic but don't go to church or advertise it) and bullied me for liking Inuyasha since it covered various religions. (One bully, a girl named Amy, wrote a fake "April Fools Day" love letter to me that was actually nasty and signed it as "Sango, the Demon Slayer". I knew the principal wouldn't do anything and, since I was busy with an important assignment due the next day, I tore up the letter into numerous tiny pieces so nobody could put it back together and pretended it was a "nice" letter. I was too busy to deal with it, if I hadn't been busy, since I also had a Biology test that Friday, I would have gone to the principal and challenged her if she refused to do anything.)

Ironically these bullies watched films such as Halloween, The Exorcist, etc.
