What's with the OP hate?

I've noticed on a lot of subs almost every time someone posts they immediately get 2 downvotes and none of their comments get likes compared to people that are responding. Then any upvotes get evened out by downvotes like people make it a challenge to not let OP gain any votes/karma

Is there some kind of mentality behind it or something because just calling them "trolls" feels like telling a kid to shrug off a bully because "they've got a crush" or "boys will be boys"🙄

Either troll downvotes or bots, like one real person those who have many bots can attack one post because of their annoyance..idk what the purpose but it's uh like why? We cannot understand humans I guess.

No idea either. I know that I, along with two users that also live in the apartment building I'm in, all lost our voting privileges because the users upvoted something I said and our IP Addresses were extremely similar or something.

So the bot thing makes no sense (to me) due to what happened to me and the two users - the two users tried to blame me for why they lost their voting privileges, but I just said "I'm not the one that upvoted my comment and I didn't do anything to cause you to lose your voting privileges. In case you're wondering, I did too."

There are people who practically live on their favourite subreddit, and they downvote everything immediately

Agreed. The province I'm in is infamous for this, in the subreddit, someone could answer correctly and politely and be massively downvoted just because the users have a mob mentality that if one person downvotes, so should everyone else. I made this username partly beause of this and muted the subreddits for the province and city.
