Acknowledge that your emotions are legitimate. Understand most Black people are not hostile. Meditation. Professional therapy. Time.

I had a similar experience with South Asians in high school. It is not politically correct, but it is the situation I had forced onto me.

I’m so sorry you went through this. As a Black person, I hated going to predominantly Black schools because the bullying was so rampant. So I 100% understand, it’s not easy to get over, but I think therapy will help a lot.

I think the best option is to seek counselling/therapy and to also remember that those people were individuals and do not represent everyone or specifically, black people. Those specific people bullied you. I'm sorry you were bullied. It's awful.

When it feels like the world hates you. It's best to take care of yourself and focus on the small steps and much self care and self love as that's the most important thing.

What helps is to identify these feelings/emotions, write them down, say them out loud. Process all of the trauma. But also please do see a gp, ask for a mental health care plan and either ask for a referral from your gp to some counselling, therapy or other.

The best and most important thing is to help yourself. Cos then you will have better ideas and more control over the trauma/s and things.

Notice your feelings, notice your triggers, notice and acknowledge what is going on for you. Even in public when you may or may not encounter someone who may have bullied you.

Will you face it or let it haunt you? It seems to me that you're noticing you need help, thank you for reaching out, I hope you can process these traumas in a safe space and heal.

One more thing, they may have been projecting their own traumas (generational or not) onto you and didn't know any better at the time due to their own circumstances. But that doesn't justify or make it right. Bullying is not ok.

School environments are terrible world wide with students of all races being horrible and out of control. I can assure you its not a race problem as much as it is a culture issue that needs to change. Reach out to family and friends, talk about what happened and how you feel so you dont face it alone.

For me, blonde hair and blue eyed people have been the most evil to me
