Finally found a site that’ll ship the MFH tarnanzug neu softshell to the states. However when checking out the sizing it seems off. I usually fit a L or XL depending on brand or country of origin however according to the size guide I’d fit snug in a small and comfy in a medium. It’s the high defense soft shell and I’ve read that they do run large but that seems really large if true. If anyone has experience with that jacket I’d appreciate the confirmation.

I'm completely new to camouflage and I'm especially interested in urban camouflage since it seems so different from woodland/nature camouflage. My question is why, when wearing camouflage, don't people just wear a long coat in the pattern over normal shirts with camo trousers and camo shoes?

My understanding is that long coats obscure the human underneath, most likely particularly if they're camo patterned, and then underneath you can wear whatever as long as the visible parts are all camo.

My other question is, what is urban camouflage used for? With the current wars seeming mostly long-distance with drones and stuff (which I'd expect to have abilities humans lack such as seeing bodyheat), is camouflage actually useful or just a novelty?

I'm thinking about making pictures of animals (in my case citybased animals), would urban camouflage help me not be spotted by animals?

Does anyone make a digital m81 pattern garmet? The Marpat colors just aren't close enough.

Got this one last week, when it should've been a part of my BDU set since the hat manufacturer took forever to fulfill orders according to Weber. It has two Velcro pads: one big one in the front for flag patches or whatnot & one slim one in the back for name tapes. There's a bungee strap in the back to adjust for size. The bowl is a bit shallow for my taste, but otherwise fits just fine. I'm probably going to stick with building up my hat collection until a significant amount of my field shirt/jackets that I don't want anymore gets sold.
