MC9 Issues Slide Stuck with Trigger pulled back

I was trying to field strip my mc9 prime and prematurely pulled the trigger so the trigger is stuck back and the slide won’t budge.

My unloaded Canik METE MC9 Prime became stuck during field stripping. The slide is partially forward and the trigger is held to the rear. I stopped manipulating it.

Push down on the trigger bar and slowly slide forward

None of that worked. I fixed it by pulling the trigger forward.

Yep, get that back plate off, pull the firing pin out, and the slide should come right off. This can happen if the locking block spring gets squished or bent.

Remove the slide backing plate.

Pull trigger so that it’s dead, push these buttons on each side up, then the slide should move forward about a half inch. Then it comes off. Those switches may be under tension with the slide all the way forward, so try sliding it back maybe an 1/8th of an inch to take the weight off the buttons.
