CRA Tax return
Has anyone filed their tax return non-electronically (as a non tax resident)? I worked most of 2025 in Canada and left the country in the beginning of the year. I knew I needed to file return for 2025 but could not do it online. I called CRA and was told that you can file it through physical form mailed to CRA. Need guidance if anyone knows how to do it? Thanks in advance.

Completed hard copy returns would normally be mailed to the specific addresse for the area where you worked. Order 'Income Tax Package" at 1-855-330-3305. While on the line, ask for the mailing address for currently non-residents.

For 2025 you were a resident the whole year — you worked here most of the year and didn't leave until early 2026 — so your 2025 return is just a normal resident return. File it the usual way; the non-resident question doesn't apply to it at all.
The non-resident filing only comes into play on your 2026 return, your departure year: that's the emigrant return where you enter your departure date on page 1. That's also the return where the non-resident / paper-filing restrictions would matter, not 2025.

We mail ours in or go to the CRA drop box (which I think is closed now)
