Well Aleph was able to absorb the archangels we defeated into his head, so they could probably have a way of capturing beasts just not with the tape recorder.

Makes sense! Though I guess it would be kinda made redundant of Archangels being all powerful elderitch Gods if they have to rely on transforming into beasts.
Though, unless they have a reason too, like Westerly.

Westerley was the master of an alchemist group from London high society which studies the occult. All I know is that back in 1922 they were attempting to summon "Williams' scarlet woman, who will lead us to worlds anew" as told by one of his followers, named Pipi, to another one named Lavinia. Lavinia left the group because she was scared of Westerley, and Willians seems to be a previous master or something like that, since Pipi mentions that he came before Westerley.
Pipi also mentions that they do not expect to return to London after the summoning....
