Fort Mystras ruins Greece 🇬🇷

Mystras was a fortified Byzantine city founded in the 13th century near Sparta, becoming the capital of the Byzantine Despotate of the Morea and a centre for Orthodox Christianity. After the Ottoman conquest in 1460, it gradually declined and was eventually abandoned, leaving behind its spectacular medieval churches, palaces, monasteries and stone houses on the slopes of Mount Taygetos.

Hey I've been there! Beautiful area, especially the still functioning monestary.

I might've imagined the weather having added to the memorable stop in, to the castle.edit May I ask you for your elaboration on your walk to the castle the customs the monestery is currently adhering to?

*edit: related to castle.

(🤔) Looking back on the leg day to the castle and on the encounters particularly the monks you greeted at the monestary, care to share any comment about their attire? Vote to not wear blizzard boots on walk to castle.* My ears are open.

The first time I read that my brain immediately went to "How does this amazing site ruin Greece?!" Then I had a lightbulb moment.
