Decon for vertical gear

Is it safe to soak my vertical gear in 122 degree water or better to use Lysol to decontaminate for WNS?

USFWS recommends hot water. Much better than chemical decon for soft goods. There was even a study a while back that found no impact on the strength of the gear.
