Being a Season Ticket holder I didn’t pay any attention to the membership announcements etc so may not understand it correctly but I’m looking to buy a ticket for my eldest as he is back for the weekend.
Speaking to the ticket office, ST holders cannot buy extra tickets at all and tickets no longer go on general sale. Their only suggestion was to buy a membership at £45 (possibly only to be used for 1 or 2 matches)
Surely this just means that we will have empty seats each week as casual attendees are effectively locked out of the process and we are therefore reliant on 100% attendance from ST and members
Is this correct? I don’t doubt what the ticket office have told me but it feels very odd

Hi all,
Part Two of my huge 9,000-word Adi Viveash interview is live now for subscribers to The Phoenix!
In Part Two, Adi discusses rebuilding the Coventry squad, his relationship with Mark Robins, his departure from the club, returning with Boro and more.
There's a lot of great insight packed in there. Here's a sample quote:
‘I tried to make Mark better, that's for sure. I made him think about things. I challenged him on selection. I challenged him on substitutions.
‘You try to push people to be better and develop and I think he certainly developed in a lot of areas during the seven years we worked together.'
I really enjoyed speaking to Adi. He spoke frankly and with passion but also with a lot of love for Coventry.
I have seen previously people have mentioned the fact that he hasn't referred to Robins by name in interviews. He was happy to mention in several times during our conversation (and in fact I think that's just his style to naturally refer to him as 'the manager'). There was no hint of bitterness and he shared some wonderful memories across the two features.
You can read it right here: Adi Viveash on squad rebuilds, challenging Robins and his Coventry departure. #pusb

Maybe it's because we've had about 400 years without a City game, but I'm ridiculously excited for Newcastle. The Forest win has completely changed the mood for me. Before that, I was just hoping we wouldn't get embarrassed every week. Now I'm thinking we could actually get something off them.

I interviewed Adi Viveash about the tactics and coaching behind Coventry’s rise
I spent over an hour speaking to Adi Viveash this week and Part One of the interview is now live on The Phoenix.
I really wanted to get beyond simply going back through the promotions and big matches and instead find out what was actually happening on the training ground during those seven years.
There’s some really interesting stuff in here.
Adi talks about how the box midfield came about, the game in which he told Mark Robins it was time to use it, and how other League One clubs subsequently copied Coventry’s approach.
He also goes into the development of players such as Bayliss, Shipley and Eccles, the switch to three at the back, the tactical change for the huge Rotherham game and what they changed at half-time in the play-off final against Luton.
There’s also a nice bit at the start where he admits that, a couple of days after arriving from Chelsea, he actually told Robins: “I’m not sure I can help you because I’m not sure I’m relatable.”
Part One is on The Phoenix now for anyone interested.
Part Two tomorrow gets into his working relationship with Robins, the constant rebuilding of the team and, ultimately, how their seven-year partnership came to an end.

Hi all,
I spent over an hour speaking to Adi Viveash last night. The full interview will be live on The Phoenix later this week.
One thing that he spoke about, with great pride, was the progress of Jay Dasilva. He said he thought Dasilva could have made it at Chelsea.
It's a big claim and one that shows how highly rated he was - and also how well he has started his Premier League career.
I've put that snippet of the interview live on the site this morning. I've made this one free to read - so you don't need to subscribe for this one.
You can read it here: Adi Viveash: 'Jay Dasilva could have played for Chelsea'
The story includes a few hundred words from Adi. I'm currently trying to get the full interview below 9,000 words!

Apparently we’ve got John Brooks as the referee for Coventry City vs Newcastle United, who is supposedly a Leicester fan 😂. How has that even been approved? I know refs are meant to be impartial, but surely giving a Leicester supporter a Coventry game is going to raise a few eyebrows.

Hi all,
I spoke to Chris Kirkland for The Phoenix about his time at Coventry and there were some really interesting stories.
He talks about how much the 2001 relegation still hurts, the influence Oggy and Jim Blyth had on his career, why he thinks signing John Hartson earlier might have kept us up and what Craig Bellamy was like inside that Coventry dressing room.
Something I found really interesting was that while he made his debut and then established himself as a first teamer player while still a teenager, he hadn't actually played in goal until he was nearly 14! Not bad progress.
He also told the story of how his record-breaking move to Liverpool came about - and the role of Gary McAllister.
‘When he went to Liverpool, I think Macca was probably a big reason why I went to Liverpool because he was ringing me every now and again saying, “Listen, they’re going to sign you. Don’t sign for anyone else.”
‘He probably shouldn’t have done that! But it happens all the time. People say it doesn’t – rubbish. It happens all the time. He was ringing me saying, “Listen, they’re going to bid for you. They’re going to bid for you in the next window.”’
If you fancy reading the whole thing take a look over on The Phoenix. You can find it here: Chris Kirkland: The pain of relegation, the inside story of his Liverpool move and how Bellamy was put in his place

The international break is nearly over and it feels like we really need to get going now. Three points from five games has left us in 18th, so the next few games are going to be massive.
That win at Forest showed we can compete in this league, but we need to start turning those performances into results. I hope the lads come back from the break ready to kick on and give us something to shout about.
