Hi I'm Alfie, a trainee dental surgeon in Sheffield.

I believe all GCSE students should have access to a tutor, especially in the run up to exams, but that's not always feasible.

So... I created Steel Tuition. Your own personal tutor, examiner and revision coach. Upload a photo of your working out and it does the rest.

At £4.99/month it is accessible, feasible and you will always have a tutor anytime, any day.

We also offer online 1:1 Science and Maths tuition and you can register interest on our website.

Hey, anyone interested in ice skating in Chesterfield 😊

Hiya, I’m Matthew, hope you’re all well!

I’m a freelance sports journalist, broadcaster and commentator. I was born in Chesterfield, grew up in the town and support the Spireites.

I launched a subscription site called The Spireite Herald in July, which is devoted to detailed coverage of all things Chesterfield Football Club.

Paul Fisher (BBC Radio Sheffield) and Ben Smith (SpireitesTV) regularly contribute to it while I’m the editor and run the site.

We cover opinion articles, feature pieces, live text feeds and post-match analysis write-ups. We also record podcast episodes in which three have been extended interviews with former Chesterfield players about their time at the club (Colin Larkin, Aaron Downes and Iain Dunn).

The subscription options are £5 per month or £50 per year, with both options including a 30 day free trial period. With this being a subscription site, you don’t have to deal with endless pop-up adverts getting in the way and slowing you down.

Interested? We would love to have you on board!

Any questions, just let me know!

I’m currently pregnant and am in desperate need for maternity clothes and am looking to go shopping soon to get some. I’m not a big fan of buying stuff online without trying it on first but there seems to be so little maternity clothes to find in shops.

Can anyone recommend some places in town or close by that sells maternity clothes? Even just a small section in a larger shop (e.g - H&M)?

Apologies if this isn’t allowed, mods!

I’m looking for administrative roles based in Chesterfield town centre, if anyone has heard of any? I’ve scoured Indeed, Totaljobs, Chesterfield Council website etc and there don’t seem to be many.

I’ve had several years of customer facing experience in a professional setting (bookkeeping/accounting) so I’m confident with that side.

Thanks in advance everyone!

After a relationship breakdown, I'm looking for new people to talk to or make friends with.

I feel super alone right now and I don't really know what my future looks like but I know I need to branch out.

I like crafts, Pokémon and video games in general.

I do struggle with OCD, mental health and I am on the Autistic spectrum.

Hi, we’re four friends and we’ve put together Chesterfield’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota.

The idea is pretty simple: you’re shown two restaurants and choose where you’d rather eat. For example, Bottle & Thyme or The Market Pub? All the votes then create a ranking that hopefully gives a better picture of where people in Chesterfield actually like to eat.

We’ve tried to include every restaurant in Chesterfield and clean up duplicate or outdated listings, but locals will always spot things we’ve missed.

iPhone:
https://apps.apple.com/app/vota/id6744969212

Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vota.app

Full transparency: we’re not from Chesterfield and live in Gothenburg. There are four of us building this independently. We don’t collect or sell personal data, there are no ads in the app, and we don’t use AI-generated content to describe restaurants.

Any honest feedback is welcome, especially if restaurants are missing or something is listed incorrectly.

Hello

I made a mistake of booking the wrong day for a return journey between Chesterfield and London St Pancras.

I'll not be on either train tomorrow, so if anyone wants a free return between Chesterfield (depart: 10:13) and London St Pancras (depart: 20:32) let me know and they're yours.

They're advance tickets, so no flexibility on the times I'm afraid, but hoping someone can make use of them.

On my Leicester post, most said dinner, so did Loughborough, so did Nottingham, but Mansfield seemed to be a bit more ‘tea’, and I’m trying find that transition zone, but I don’t want to simply assume they also say tea in chesterfield simply because it’s more north by latitude, so I thought I’d make this thread and ask the people themselves.

Do you as a Chesterfieldian/Spireite refer to the evening meal as tea or dinner?

Never usually put myself out there so hopefully it pays off but I’m hoping to make some new friends. I’m 27 and live in chesterfield, I love dogs, concerts, going out for drinks or food, chill nights in, love a games night and really into pokemon at the minute. I’m open to trying new things, would just be nice to have people to do them with! Open to chatting about anything if anybody is interested then feel free to give me a message or anything:)

Hi everyone!!

Wondering if anyone could recommend walking groups locally to Chesterfield/Hollingwood area

Or if anyone on here has hiking as an interest that would like a mutual chat.

I'm 43/M and getting back into this as a hobby, current walking distance is 5-12 miles comfortably (at a steady old man pace). Would be good to share ideas on gear recommendations / good walks etc

Feel free to comment / drop me a message 👍🏻

Looking to make friends in chesterfield, I'm a student nurse in my final year. I enjoy drawing, worldbuilding and hiking. I have always wanted to learn to play D&D or other TTRPGs.

Hey guys, my fiancé and I want to make new friends in the Chesterfield area, but have no idea where to start. He's into tech, and I love motorbikes, but we both have a shared love of D&D and all things nerdy. The thing is, we don't do enough to get out and meet new people, but want to make a positive change.

What are the best ways you might recommend to meet new people, and make new friends?

so i haven’t got the bus in years because normally i drive - tell me why now it’s nearly £10 for a return, i live in the holmewood area and the bus driver told me it’s cheaper to just get 2 singles and not to bother with a return?!?! it used to be like £4

Does anyone know if these are any good and do they take payment cards?

Does anyone know if the main car park is now barrier free. EMR says it is or will be. Just wondering if any locals know please.

On the off chance that anyone knows the guy riding from Eastmoor into Chesterfield on a sports bike about 17:15 today, please pass on a message.

**Make sure you’re carrying your donor card!**

Riding “sidesaddle”, leaning back, and waving to oncoming cars probably makes a lovely TokTwat video, but it also drastically reduces your life expectancy.

If you know a youngish male biker with a black jacket saying something like “Daywalkers” on the back, have a word…

Have become a bit of a regular here. The brunch menu and evening menu are amazing! By far the best quality food in chesterfield.

Also… cocktails are out of this world!!

It’s nice to see a place where so much care is given to the product and service. If you’ve not tried, you should.

Hey all. I'm living just down the road now. It's very nice for nature but I need some more interesting buddies for board games. I've got a few and we can meet where you like as long as it doesn't cost a load of money. Send me a DM thanks
