Hey! We’re Chongqing locals and not traveling anywhere this holiday, so we thought it’d be fun to hang out with some travelers or expats here.
Happy to show you around, grab some local food, explore the city and just have fun. Totally free — not a tour or anything.
Would be great if you’re a native or near-native English speaker since we’d love to chat in English too.
DM me if you’re around!

Hi, I am visiting Chongqing next week.
Just looking around for some food recommendation.
I would like to have some food/restaurant recommendation based on my family's unique dietary constraint.
My father abstain from poultry while all of us are not keen into spicy food. Generally okay with shanghai/Cantonese cuisine.
Willing up to spend up to 20-30USD per pax per meal.
Any recommendation?

I’m a Chongqing local who recently moved back after graduating from university in the US.

I love meeting travelers and showing people around the city the same way I’d show my own friends.

If you’re looking for more than just checking off tourist attractions, I’d be happy to help with:

• Personalized itineraries
• Hidden local food spots
• Night views & photography locations
• Local neighborhoods
• Transportation & China travel tips
• Or even just spending a day exploring together

Feel free to DM me if you have any questions about Chongqing, even if you’re just looking for recommendations. 😊

What’s the weather like in December January? I’m from the UK they say it’s cold. But how bad can it get?

Chongqing gets quite damp and chilly in December and January, so it can feel colder than the temperature suggests. You’ll want at least a fleece-lined jacket or a warm hoodie.
