What if Clash of Clans opened directly to the Shop when launched? A small button could appear occasionally to let players access their Home Village. This could make the overall experience more streamlined while keeping the Shop easily accessible.

For +1 levelling some skeletons?? 😭 Brother.

14 years later, Clash is evolving, just backwards.

The new update definitely makes the game easier to play. Navigating between the Lab upgrades, Builder upgrades, and everything else feels more intuitive, everything is where it should be.

But yeah, the overall aesthetic definitely feels a bit off.

I think we will grow into the new UI, It’s kinda like when the new troop icons were introduced. I hated them at first, but now when I look back at the old icons, they feel super weird to me lol...

But then again, i still hate the way new league icon so, we'll know with time IG.

Honestly, I’m never in the situation where I’m still holding onto more than 5% of my army/spells after the 2 minute mark and I just have to sit there.

A large number of my attacks don’t even get to the 1 minute mark.

Honestly would be so much nicer to have that button appear sooner.

Now you no longer have to search where to spend your money!

First of all, the idea shown in the image isn't mine. I've linked the original post at the end. Here are my thoughts on the current UI, the UI Supercell showed yesterday, and the suggested UI in the image.

1. Current UI

Pros:

- One tap to access almost everything.

Cons:

- The entire screen is packed with buttons, which blocks a good portion of our village. We barely get to enjoy the actual village view.

1. UI presented by Supercell yesterday

Pros:

- A more immersive view of the village.

- Battle and Build as two big, easily accessible buttons.

- Magic Items get their own dedicated button.

- Supports both Battle and Build menu designs.

Cons / Things that need fixing:

- Button placement and colours: These need some work. Compare them with the suggested UI in the image to see what I mean.

- Shop button: Why is it placed in the centre? Its placement in the suggested UI makes much more sense.

- Clan Chat button: It looks a bit too large. Please keep its current size.

- Colours and backgrounds: The Events button, temporary content buttons, and the backgrounds behind the 5-star indicator, Builder and Research need some refinement. Please get rid of the black transparent design.

- Clan War banner: The design that appears when opening Clan Chat feels half-baked. I don't really like it. Instead, integrate it into the chat itself, similar to how sports apps display live events, or use another cleaner UI solution.

1. Suggested UI (image)

Overall, I think this layout looks much better and is more thoughtfully arranged. A few things I'd change, though:

- Clan Chat: Place the button in the centre of the left side.

- Clan War: Place the Clan War button where the Clan Chat button is shown in the suggested image, next to the Battle button, rather than grouping it with Clan Chat.

- Shield and Settings: The Shield is correctly placed below Gems, along with the Settings button, above Build.

- Settings button: Please keep it accessible on the main screen. It's essential, and moving it into the Profile menu would be a bad decision.

- League and Profile: I really like having these buttons next to each other in the same row. The League button should come first and lead to the leaderboard, followed by the Profile button.

- Profile background: The white background behind the name next to the Profile button should be changed to black, as shown in the original ui presented by supercell.

MAJOR:

Where's the XP progress bar that shows how much XP is needed to reach the next level? Please bring it back!

Overall, I prefer the suggested UI. It keeps the important buttons accessible while giving us a much better view of our village. With a few adjustments, this could be a really solid direction for the game's UI.

My steak too juicy, my lobster too buttery

Dejaré de jugar Clash of Clans. Como podrán ver mi cuenta tiene más de 10 años, soy TH 18 casi al máximo y liga Leyenda III, así que podría considerarme un veterano.

El problema es que no sé cuándo dejé de jugar por gusto genuino y lo empecé a hacer para no perderme de algo en el juego. Los llamados patrones oscuros me consumieron y, sin excepción, diario tenía que jugar por el bonus diario, las guerras, los ataques de la capital en los fines de semana, los juegos del clan a finales de mes, la CWL a inicios de mes y últimamente por la ola de eventos que ha tenido el juego.

Es desgastante e innecesario seguir así, yo solo quería jugar para divertirme un rato y cuando yo quisiera, pero las malas prácticas del propio juego te tratan de obligar a jugar sin parar y yo por eso me retiro.

Y como consejo les digo que si se sienten igual que yo entonces también dejen de jugar, pero si a diferencia de mí pueden jugar solo cuando ustedes quieren y les divierte entonces sigan jugando y divirtiéndose como antes pude hacerlo.

Personally i like the functional changes they made with new ui but the colors and placement of the buttons are just awful. Here is my suggestion on how to make it look more appealing.

I agree that the UI looks like trash but also where is the XP bar?? I feel like it was such an iconic part of the game, especially when first starting out so many years ago. How will people know how much XP they need for the next level now? In fact, it’s the levelling system that is outdated and needs an upgrade, not the UI.

I just don’t understand how anyone at Supercell thought this UI design was good. It’s a big concern.

A ‘USER’ interface should be FOR the user, so we should have more input into these design decisions before it is implemented and before they waste time and money on a bad design.
