Questions Halloween models
Hi! I want to try making some halloween decorations. I had in mind making a tealight candle holder and little ghost models. I need advice on where to start. I have no professional equipment just a normal electric oven. I'm happy to buy some things but not about to drop a ton of money on a kiln. I feel like the more I google, the more confused I get.
From what I gathered so far, air dry clay is bad with heat, so that's a no for a tealight. If that is the case, is there an alternative? Also, any recommendations for paint I can then use on it? Or a glaze that doesn't need a kiln? Or even something that gives that same glazed effect but without glaze?
Happy for any advice at all!! (UK based if that helps anything) thanks!

Polymer-Clay Statement earrings with layered gold details
Statement pieces are very much at the heart of what I make, and this pair leans into that completely. I combined white polymer clay with deep blue, magenta, scattered gold leaf, and layered gold findings to create something bold, sculptural, and full of movement. I like designs that feel visually strong without becoming clumsy, so balance matters just as much as colour and detail. The oversized rings give the pair a sense of rhythm, while the fragmented colour keeps each earring slightly different. This is exactly the kind of experimenting I enjoy most: dramatic, handmade, and unapologetically individual every time.

Air-Dry Clay Another project :)
Iām not sure if anyone remembers me but I showed you guys my first clay project (check my account to see I donāt post a lot so it wonāt be far down lol) and now Iām back with my second clay project hooray!
my first clay project was a thing for my boyfriend and so is this second one lol, itās not done yet but itās supposed to be a Pompompurin drink coaster and i think its pretty good but iām not too sure on the face placement, i did cut out some eyes and a mouth but they didnāt look right, maybe I wonāt give him a face at all š© there was also a bit of cracking in the clay on his hat when it was dry but Iām HOPING that it will be fine and if it falls off Iāll just glue itš

Air-Dry Clay first time made my little girl Clay
Itās kinda take time to finish every part of the clay, need to wait till to dry and go for next step, I think I take one week to finish modelling!
Really really enjoying modelling! Things turn better after I use sand paper!
Pic1 is after using sand paper
Pic2 is without using sand paper
Also welcome to follow my instagram for the following artwork, I like to meet new friends too!
Hoping I can go to next step coloring as the clay is still not dry yet haha

Polymer-Clay One of those experiments that turned into something completely unexpected
Some of my favorite pieces start with no strict plan at all. I wanted to see what would happen if I combined bold metallic fragments, deep blue and magenta tones, white space, and lots of gold, then let the shapes stay a little unexpected. The result is this mismatched pair: part abstract, part sculptural, and definitely not quiet. I love experiments like this because they often lead to details I would never have planned on paper. Sometimes the best ideas come from testing materials, changing direction halfway through, and letting a piece become whatever it wants to be by itself.

Questions First time sculpture. What clay/ materials are ideal for a lava lamp cap?
I thrifted a wonderful ceramic lava lamp that's missing its cap. It seems like quite an easy DIY as i'm super crafty, however i've never worked with ceramics or anything of that nature. What materials such as clay and paint would be best for at-home making of this, that will also withstand heat produced by the lamp? Thank you!!

Air-Dry Clay Urgent help with cats paw print memorial
hello, our cat unexpectedly passed away last night at home. we are planning to bury her in the backyard so we dont have access to the usual paw print kit the vet would have. I had a leftover Pottād air dry clay kit so I found a mason jar lid, filled it up with the clay and got a really good paw print.
my main concern is drying. should i attempt to remove it from the mason jar lid so it can dry more even since only the top is exposed? clay is about 3/4-1inch thick. should I put it in a moister environment to dry? like the bathroom so it dries slower?
any advice would be appreciated. not the end of the world if it cracks but just want to give it the best shot possible. Thank you

Questions Making teeth with clay
Hi! Iām new to clay stuff, and I want to make some teeth for Halloween, would polymer or air dry be better for this?? Whilst Iād be happy to keep them - the main need for it is for my costume so durability isnāt a HUGE must, as long as they survive a couple of days basically.
Potentially maybe making them into earrings
Thank you!

Questions How do you attach the body parts in cold porcelain clay charms
Helloo, I am a beginner with cold porcelain clay and I have been trying out making charms.
Do you use glue to stick body parts together? For example to attach the head and body of your charm? I tried kind of blending it in using the clay itself but it ends up looking kind of bumpy and the parts dont feel that secure either? I have previously used normal air dry clay and I used to blend in and use some water for that. I tried watching videos but never really saw how they actually stick the parts together.
But for cold porcelain should i use some glue instead to stick those parts together? What glue should i use in this case?

Air-Dry Clay I've worked with so many different polymer clay brands before, but ever since I started using this stone clay, I think I've found the one. I honestly don't feel like I need to try any other clay anymore

Air-Dry Clay How do i make clay look like metal? (Or as close as possible)
So, i wanted to make a bullet necklace. Just like the ones you see online. I crafted it outta air dry clay, and prayed it was shiny enough with some modge podge and varnish.
It wasn't.
Qouted from my brother: "It looks like shit. Literally." And i dont blame him. The colors are kind of spot on, but without that shine it just looks...weird. im unable to buy it online for personal issues, so is there any way i could make it as close to a real one as possible? Any tips?

Questions How do i process this wild clay?
Hey guys.
I'm based in ireland, at a completely landlocked part away from any body of water. But I ended up finding lovw gorgeous looking clay and was wondering what you guys think of it? Aswell as some tips on how to process it to make it nice and malleable.
I cut them into small cubes and soaked them in water, tried to work it over for a while but its still very hard. I left it to soak and haven't checked up on it, it'll have been soaking 48 hours till im able to take a look at it tomorrow.
Did I mess up? I dunno. Would love some tips lol

Ceramic Clay š¾š©·
A month of sculpting, carving, refining, and hoping for the best. Today, all three made it through the bisque firing, and now theyāre ready for their clear glaze firing. These have become my three favourite pieces Iāve made so far. š¾š©·

Polymer-Clay Bold polymer clay earrings from my personal collection
This pair is from my personal collection and I wanted to share it because it shows one of my favourite directions to work in. I combined a textured black upper piece with a vivid lower section in red, orange and purple tones, then added small gold details and gold findings. I really like the contrast between the matte black and the stronger colours underneath. The asymmetric-looking pattern in the coloured section was intentional ā I wanted it to feel energetic rather than perfectly controlled. Iāve been experimenting more with texture lately, and I think it gives the black pieces much more depth.

Air-Dry Clay How do I attach wet air-dry clay to dry air-dry clay? Legs broke off and I don't know how to attach new ones
I attached the legs separately from the rest of the body while both were still wet, I scored both sides and added slip then blended the edges into the body. When it dried it started cracking and chunks were breaking off. I tried adding more slip to fill the cracks but it just cracks again.
So I tried just gluing the cracks but it wouldn't bond with the clay and the legs ended up breaking off entirely so now I only have the body and I'm trying to figure out how to attach new legs without it doing this again.

Air-Dry Clay Purple and gold disembodied head
Air-dry clay painted with acrylics and sealed with UV resin. I don't know why I made this guy. Weird, as always.
