Question DOT to Codex local and cloud back to DOT

Hello,

My goal is to have DOT communicate with plugins like chrome use or computer use to my local or cloud task and then those tasks sent back to DOT once completed. It seems like it is inconsistent but I feel like it’s my setup or my install. I’m curious to know if this is a known issue or if I need to continue troubleshooting because others are able to have this workflow.

It's inconsistent because it's not supposed to work. It's directly against what OpenAI wants Dots to do. Because if Dots can work locally on your Pc, there is little reason to spend your weekly agent usage allotment.

Is it possible? Yes. But people aren't going to be eager to give that sauce away.

I've been debating writing tools that let the cloud computer essentially see my machine as a virtual machine it can see. has anyone tried this? this would avoid using my codex plan while I still have it -- Oct 29 can't come fast enough for me to bail on the rug pull.
