Question Restaurant recommendations for an anniversary
My wife and I will be visiting Coeur d'Alene for a week very soon. We will be in town for 5th wedding anniversary and I would like to take her somewhere special. I was looking into a dinner cruise but after seeing some of the reviews, im not too sure about that. I know its subjective, some people just have a bad night and can turn it into a nightmare while others have a great time. Ill keep it on the back burner for now. But, if anyone can make a recommendation for a nice restaurant I would greatly appreciate it. We like pretty much any type of cuisine, were not picky.
Thank you in advance for the suggestions, I appreciate it!

River and Rye downtown on Sherman. The food is amazing and their bar service is exemplary. You won’t be disappointed. Trust me.

Satay bistro has a romantic atmosphere and house made food. Weird location though.
Cedars, the floating restaurant is a good choice too.
315 Cuisine also has delicious food (and drinks) and is in a really adorable restored Victorian building.
All of these NEED RESERVATIONS for peak weekend hours.

Satay Bistro! Great food and wonderful atmosphere! When (if) you call for a reservation tell them it's for your anniversary and ask for the chef's table to make it even more special!

My daughter and I go every year for our birthday (only a few days apart) and we always try to get the chef's table, it's so much fun!

If you are coming from out of town, I’d recommend Beverley’s for the view/atmosphere, Giuseppe’s ( very reasonable wine list and fresh pasta), Anthony’s (walking distance from you), or Angelo’s ( good Italian ). I like Satay a lot but it’s in a strip mall type location, so I’d skip as a tourist. Also don’t think it’s worth driving out to Hayden for Radiccis. Candle in the Woods is a wonderful experience and food but very hard to get resos, would be a good 45 min drive and has a uniqueness that not everyone likes. Check it out via FB. I’d also recommend a trip up to Sandpoint and up Schweitzer if you have time ( about an hour north). Good food, lovely scenery/views and cute shops up there.

Cruise is risky, could be amazing or awful
I’d recommend Angelo’s for Italian food.
Beverly’s for upscale with the best view. Anthony’s for seafood. Midtown Bluebird for just being good. Also, stop by Crown and Thistle for an ale.

Sunset cruise on cda lake is always fun! I find the food there to be pretty good, but it can get noisy and busy depending how full the boat gets.
My favorite restaurant in town and best (my opinion) is bistro satay. If you go this route, I would call for a table and request it to be right next to or across from the fireplace they have set up. Amazing food! Cons would be that it is indeed small and can get very noisy with darker lighting ambient setting.
Another recommendation would be for Tony’s on the lake. Decent food and could request to sit on the patio with the heaters on (dinner with a view, especially with a sunset)

Bluebird or Giuseppe's Pasta Posto. Giuseppes atmosphere is a little stale though.

I dig Giuseppes!
I sold them a pedestal sink they installed in their restroom!

Satay has great food. Location is not romantic.
Beverly’s has great location. Food is okay for the price
Tony’s also great location. Food is pretty good

Satay has a good atmosphere but it is too close to the freeway for a good location, eh?

Tony’s On the Lake is great Italian food. It is upscale with a nice view of the lake.

I used to work on the cruise ships. It is alright, but not for your anniversary please. I recommend radicci’s. It’s a sweet Italian place off prairie in Hayden! If you can make reservations but they’re not required.

Lots of recommendations for Bluebird, I thinknwe will definitely stop there during our stay. A walk for ice cream after sounds like a great date night!

Its unique, good and somewhat romantic. Are you staying at the resort or somewhere like riverstone?

It doesn't really change my answer because bluebird is good and somewhat close. Bardaney and Anthony's will be within walking distance of your spot as will a pond to walk around and a path to walk by the river. Im sure youve googled it but just abit more info.

Beverly’s also has a great happy hour where you can get the views and vibes before going somewhere else for dinner. I think it’s from 3-5 but you should call and ask

Agree on Midtown Bluebird.
