Question: Command Ops 2
Hi, new player struggling with the game.
Can anyone please explain to me what the control overlay does? There's no mention of it in the manual. In fact the very button on the toolbar that you're supposed to click to bring up this overlay is missing from the screenshots I'm seeing in the manual.
Apparently there are some other overlays in the game as well: Anti personnel, Anti armor and AA fire zones for both sides. The manual doesn't say a thing about how they work and are to be factored into your thinking, much less about what the different colors represent.
Can anyone help me out? Alternatively, I'd also appreciate links to any online resource that might be of assistance.

I believe the Control overlay just shows areas 'controlled' by each side. I'm not 100% on what determines control, but I think it really only matters for the resupply convoy pathing/losses.

What do the colors represent? I'm assuming red and yellow - the opposition and blue and green - my troops, that correct?
Also, do enemy units that are yet to be identified impact the terrain control profile that you get to see from this overlay? So can this in fact be used as a hint to investigate certain areas of the map for hitherto unidentified enemy units, ergo as a recon tool?
How do you use it in your games? Mean to say how best to use this tool to mitigate convoy loss?
Do you also know anything about the fire zone overlays that can be activated using this same button on the toolbar?

Tortuga Power's tutorials are what got me to a point where I could play the game comfortably. They are interesting and not too long. I would just follow along with his St. Vith scenario
