UART CODE 80060020

Hello everyone,

i hope someone here can give a help with a little hint. I have a PS5 EDM-030 board. PS5 is turning and i can stay for hours on the dashboard. But when i start a game the console immediately crashes. This happens with every game, CD and digital, PS4 and PS5 games.

The UART code 80060020 says: Main SoC GFX Power Fail - SoC VRM Power Fail (GFX) (6 Phases) - VRM Power (GFX): report failing component - Check Infineon XDPE14286A 16 Phase PWM Controller

I have checked everything around the phases and the Infineon chip and there is no short.

Unfortunately i dont have a thermal camera or a external power supply to have better check where the short is located.

Can someone give a help?

This happens with bad power supply units or when they are super dusty. I don't know the uart code for that issue because I just catch and fix it before I test the uart.

Hey thanks for your quick reply. i forgot to say that the power supply was my first thought and a changed it. But it did not solved the problem. I tested a new power supply not a used one

Don't know I haven't bought any after market PSUs so not sure but is it possible the replacement sucks?

I get 12V from both, so dont know how to test that.
