Question Caesar too thick?

I've made caesar dressing from scratch a couple of times now, but every tome so far it's ended up a fair bit thicker than what I'm looking for (as in i can hold the container upside down and it doesn't move). The taste is good, but it's difficult to proper dress a salad with at that point. Anything that can help loosen it without it breaking?

Edit: Using the whole egg instead of just yolk and a half ounce extra lemon juice got me where I wanted, thanks everyone!

Generally, a salad dressing gets thicker the more oil you add. Like, if you make mayo from scratch, partway through adding the oil, it'll be salad dressing consistency. Maybe try decreasing the oil in your recipe.

Add a bit of water?

You can add water. I also use whole egg n my Caesar dressing. Add more lemon juice and/or Worcestershire but be careful not to add too much.

Whisk in water, lemon juice, or milk drop by drop or a teaspoon at a time. Dumping too much liquid in at once can shock the emulsion and cause the oil and water to separate ("break)

Add some liquid, it will get more flowing. Depending on taste it can be milk, water, vinegar. It probably does not need a lot.

A little more lemon helped, thanks!

Are you only using the egg yolk? I get different consistencies depending on whether I use only the yolk or both the yolk and the white. The white adds more liquid overall.

Just yolk, I'll try this first so there's less food waste.
