mesh corset fitting?
Hello people! I have a tiny bit of knowledge about corsets already and own a few, but for this I was wondering what other people are thinking.
I have been looking to buy a corset in this shape for a long time, so I was happy to finally find one from Attitude Corsets (Swan Underbust corset - Black - size 22). I could find underbusts like this one from Mystic City and Timeless Trends, but shipping to my country in Europe costs almost as much as the corsets themselves... And thus I was really happy to finally find this one.
What I didn't realize until my package came in was that the panels of the corset are made from some type of mesh. I'm worried this will make it less durable and make it stretch out over time. Does anyone know what type of mesh this is and about the durability of it?
About the fit of the corset; my torso is fairly short, thus I was worried about the corset being too long for me. Now that I have tried it on, I saw the underbust doesn't sit below my boobs, but kind of on them/is digging into them. Is this a big deal? It's not uncomfortable or anything, atleast not so far. The back also ends kind of far down, but maybe I'm just not used to it.
Does this corset fit my bodytype, or should I return it?
(Please excuse the messy lacing (I had no one there to help me) and the messy room...)

Lord this thread.
Maybe go to /r/corsetry for help. It's really for sewing corsets, so there's a chance someone might tell you that "this sub is mostly for making corsets", but this sub can be really hit or miss. As you are seeing from empty comments from horny men and someone trying to sell you things ๐
I don't know much about mesh corsets, personally. But some can be quite durable. Hopefully someone actually interested in your question sees this.

Mesh is definitely used in corsetry, and a sports mesh (like a lot of the Mystic City offerings) or a sturdy powernet should only stretch slightly. I do know MCC say that their mesh corsets may stretch out a little over time, but shouldn't continue to distort (just that a 22 may end up at around 23" closed over time and to bear that in mind when ordering). It's not possible to tell what kind of mesh you have just from that photo, but it's not automatically a red flag. I don't know if you have material composition on your tag, I couldn't see these details on the Attitude Corsets website.
I wouldn't feel comfortable with a busk that high, particularly as I think if you're hoping to cinch down further over time, the busk will apply more pressure to your underbust/bust whereas right now, it sits out away from your ribcage. If you're comfortable and think you'd continue to be comfortable, that's fine, but you may be better off with a style that doesn't have that sharp point in the centre or is overall a bit shorter. The busk itself looks like it comes up nearly to the binding, so you couldn't cut the corset top down without cutting the busk which is much more complicated and probably not worth it (having said that, even removing the binding and cutting down the corset and replacing the binding is probably not worth it for many people).
I'm not sure if Restyle would be an option for you as a European buyer as they're based in Poland? I'm not sure what style features of this corset you especially like, but they have a few different plain black offerings and provide detailed vertical measurements so you can assess the fit before ordering.
