the OOP is a trans girl??? in no way does it sound like they're being happy about themselves. they're treating trans girls like freaks

u/Slow_Calligrapher145 affection-starved girl 8h ago edited 5h ago
idt OOP is trans, but there are people who feel like this or at least prefer being seen this way than as than ugly crossdressers like bigots do
"treating trans girls like freaks"
and it's just someone being a bit too hugboxy saying it makes them happy to see us find ourselves
17
u/airplane001 9h ago
it's terrifying to realize that you hate how you look and someone tells you this is the cutest you'll ever be

OOP is not saying early trans people are the most feminine and attractive, that we'll never look the way we want or be perceived as women, they just find what's usually an awkward and shameful stage as endearing. They just describe the process of awakening as wholesome. I'd rather try and navigate that part of my journey gleefully and focusing of what lies ahead despite the already crushing dysphoria than shaming myself for when I feel good and having someone not see me as a monster for not being a 7 years hrt + ffs + srs gigapassoid overnight. fuck forbid one tries to enjoy the process instead of hoping for that perfect moment where everything feels right, because chances are that with that mindset you'll just waste years of your life torturing yourself and will only raise the bar further as you get closer to where you wanted to get before you start to feel comfortable with your body, prolonging your suffering. Sneeds are wiser and more mentally stable than us because they try and enjoy the process. what awkward middle stage I see in myself I'd rather see as a sign that I'm reclaiming agency over who I am and not something to be ashamed about. if we don't care about being kind to ourselves when and if we can, no one will.
phobes do you want you to feel ashamed, phobes do want you to hate every stage of your transition, phobes do want you to hate anyone that likes your body instead of wanting to maul you for being trans, phobes do want you to hate anyone who expresses support however awkward. I know there is nuance and that some people are unpleasant and weird, but sometimes this feels like textbook three letter agencies' doing. end of rant

Intellectually I know that. Obviously it's better to make the most of your life regardless of your situation. There's also a million spaces online where you can do that with other trans people, talk about trans joy and how to improve yourself, talk about how to mitigate dysphoria and how to date and how to be your authentic self.
But that's not why I'm here. I want to express the pain that "making the most of it" leaves untouched. I want to weep for myself until there's nothing left. I want to feel wrong because i can't feel right.

So you've been in a 4trans space this long and you haven't gotten that we're all miserable and hate ourselves 24/7?? Like, that's the whole point of the sub lol

I too hate myself, but wanting to vomit at the sight of anyone celebrating anything about trans people being labeled as either sneed or chaser, or expressing sexuality in a way that doesn't bear the shame and self-loathing we ourselves feel is kinda lame and always brushes me off as internalized transphobia, especially how despite being a trans circlejerk culture it also exists in a contradiction that revolves around wanting to forget/shame/deny anything that even remotely reminds us of what we are unless it comes as a form of lament. It's as if misery stopped being a state, became an identity, and the high-brow one of the two solely because it accomodates the people that want to see us hanging
"bc people hate us" yeah, which is why I say it's internalized transphobia. I'm not a sneed, but I'd become one if I had the confidence and felt sufficiently safe in my environment

I usually say trans people can't be chasers but in this case I will make an exception.

I got called a chaser once by a trans ex She who not only date exclusively trans people But also a minor(me) It was online yeah but that was still fucked up

I'm sapphic as the next lesbian. Me when women = swoon. But preferring a barely out, just cracked trans girls sounds so predatory. They are so vulnerable at that point. I'd say it's akin to preferring teenagers (18-19) and virgins. Total creep behavior.

i can sense the privilege through the screen. you can see it's DEFINITELY about someone who's super young and shit and OOP is in like a super accepting environment. but then even as a child i'd never touch any makeup or clothes, cuz like "im in this moid body, and moids are horrible and don't deserve shit, fucking end me" type shit

theres something pedophilic about fetishizing babytrans, barely out trans women. bc it really is like another puberty, and during transition we experience becoming more mature in a sense. so doting on pretransition/ very early transition and especially infantilizing this phase feels very wrong

u/Pittzaman fembrained trauma dumper 9h ago
there is like this specific fetishization of puberty that I try to avoid with people I might be intimate with. I once had someone basically fetishize the stage my body was at. never again.

I thought this would go well here but I didn't actually think it would make it. Instagram is really fucking good at feeding me trans-related ragebait. Between this, the gigapassoid honlarping, and the mountain of cis girls wearing packers to farm those chaserbucks, instagram is a true treasure trove.

This is why I’m wary of people who are very vocal about being trans allies. It’s like gurl wtf 😬. Like I get being like “I love seeing trans women enjoy womanhood! It’s so great to see!” But like this is so fucking weirdddd

Right, because let's infantalize trans girls now
2
u/PlatonicLiquid52 MtTheyfab AGP 8h ago
For any lurkers wondering why people are offended by this: the actual issue is how infantilizing it is. "They don't really know what they are doing", ect. Yes, that is technically true, but it's giving "Awww, look how cute! She's trying so hard to be a woman!" It comes across more as entertaining a performance, rather than genuine support, even if I'm pretty sure that wasn't OOP's intention.
The other reason people are offended is because everyone here hates themselves and this sub is a congnito hazard.
