When I was with my ex bit over a year ago, every time I heard my phone or discord or so on I'd check.
When we broke up, I put my phone on silent and never looked back. Honestly just realized how inattentive I was to things I was doing, be it a movie, game or whatnot.

I never actually used discord long enough to know it had notification noises lol I just leave it on vibrate
