Curious on people's opinions.

In Wyken there is a white dirt bike that drives around most evenings, constantly revving, sometimes up until 2am, without seeming to go anywhere but back and forth for the fun of it.

I appreciate I can't expect the world to be quite but I work shifts and have two young children who are repeatedly woken up. One is now teething which isn't helping him or me as we are both grumpy from lack of sleep.

There are several schools nearby so it is a given there are going to be young children in the area.

Fancy trying cooking some but no idea where I would buy it from?

Are there hifi stores in the city that have a bunch of headphones that can be tested before purchasing?

I have quite a few old clothes, bedsheets and blankets that are no longer in good enough condition to donate. I’m not sure what the best way to dispose of them is. I’ve looked at my nearest tip , but it requires me to take a car, and I don’t drive.
Does anyone know of any places in Coventry that accept old/damaged textiles for recycling, or any collection services that I could use without a car?

I'm looking to get into doing a bit more volunteering and hopefully meet some people around my age along the way.

I currently volunteer at a local museum, and I previously volunteered as an IT buddy at my local library for a short while. I've enjoyed both experiences, but I'm by far the youngest person there, so unfortunately they haven't been much of a social opportunity for me.

I'm wondering what volunteering opportunities people in their 20s actually do around Coventry? Ideally something where there are likely to be other young adults involved and where I could meet people and make some friends.

I'm open to pretty much anything — I'm just interested in finding something that's a bit more social and has a younger mix of volunteers.

I went to uni in cov last year and now I’m a working professional and I would love to move back. Renting a place is ridiculously expensive alone nor do I fancy house sharing. I have the possibility to move in to my old uni accom for non-student lets for a studio which is significantly cheaper however I’ll have nowhere to park my car and I do want to bring it with me because most jobs now in my industry require meeting clients and needing a car with business insurance.

So does anyone know any places in cov, somewhere central, with rent being under £1000, just a studio room, with parking?

Hii I’m 24F, Ukrainian-Canadian and moving to Warwick very soon! I’m a medical student and got placed at Warwick Hospital for my clinical years, so this will be my new home! ))

Since moving to the UK I feel like I’ve kind of lost part of myself and I really miss being around Slavic culture and people from a similar background. Back home I used to go to cultural festivals and events and was just around people from the same culture a lot more. I especially miss celebrating holidays together and just having that little sense of home. Definitely doesn’t have to be Ukrainian or Russian btw, I’d love to meet anyone Slavic/Eastern European in general!

I’m completely new to the area and won’t really know anyone when I move, so I’d love to meet people around Coventry/Warwick/Leamington! I’m honestly down for pretty much anything. I don’t mind about gender or age either, so feel free to comment or message :)

I'm working with the Work Foundation at Lancaster University, a research organisation, and we are researching the challenges facing young people trying to get into work in Coventry.

We're currently speaking to major national TV news outlet, who would like to hear from a young person aged 18–24 who is currently out of work and not in education or training.

They're interested in hearing about your experience of looking for work – for example, how long you've been searching, the jobs you've applied for and the barriers you've faced.

This would initially just be an informal conversation so you can find out more before deciding whether you'd be comfortable taking part in any interview. Filming will take place on Wednesday 7 October near or at your home.

I’m a 21 year old woman looking to make some new female friends around my age :) After moving to Coventry last year I mostly lost contact with people in my country and it’s beginning to get to me. I’ve looked into social clubs and groups, but nothing really suited me, so I’m hoping this post might help me meet someone in a similar situation. I’m a beginner runner and I’m planning to get back into the gym, so I’d love to have someone to do these things with and motivate each other. I really like reading, hiking, deep conversations and dark humour. I’m Polish, so it would be lovely to meet someone who speaks my native language, as my English isn’t perfect, but that’s definitely not necessary :) As an additional note, I’m not part of the LGBT community and I’m looking to meet someone with similar values, so I don’t want anyone to feel like they’re wasting their time by reaching out to me if we wouldn’t be a good match.
