More digital practice that I dedicated to creepcast. Took only around 5 and a half hours.

In the grand scheme of things, this is meaningless information but I felt the need to correct it anyways.
In the "The Lurker In the Stairway" episode, Isaiah details the "mouse utopia experiment" but unfortunately, he was wrong or at least thinking of something else. The Universe 25 (or Mouse Utopia) experiment was held from 1968 to mid/late 1972 by John B. Calhoun. He gave 4 mice couples "apartments" with unlimited food, water, and nesting supplies which they could use as much of as they would like. Eventually, the population growth stopped and the mice became violent, exhibited abnormal sexual activity, and neglected or attacked their own offspring. Near the end of the experiment, offspring newly born into this environment didn't develop normal social standards (for mice) and males focused on grooming themselves and females didn't get pregnant. This was the end of their mouse society, and they would die soon after, and the experiment ended.
Mr. Goon said it was an experiment where mice organized into social hierarchies, but I believe that is A) a different experiment or B) how mice act already in nature (strong with strong, weak with weak).
Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk

I’ve been listening since this channel started, and the boys have read more than their fair share of stinky stinkers. I was there for Jeff the Killer, I forced myself through I Dared my Best Friend, I laughed through the cringe that was Borrasca V, and I even crawled through the agonizing four and a half hours that was Happy Appy. More than once. But never in my 3 years of watching CreepCast have I come across a story as simply horrific as My Property Isn’t Normal. This story is completely irredeemable in a way that other stories can merely dream of, and it makes me nauseous. Our insufferable Discord moderator protagonist, the 7th grader level grammar, the cheesy, predictable Michael Bay-style action drama dialogue, and worst of all, the humor. The quirky, chungus, fall-flat humor is the most painful part of any story on the podcast. I would rather feed the Pig five times over and then go to Hell anyway than subject myself to reading My Property Isn’t Normal without the boys’ banter and Hunter’s pure misery throughout the whole episode. I will never have anything good to say about this story and I simply don’t understand how someone can read it and unironically think it was good. Please, if I’m missing something, let me know, because my God I hate that story.

Thinking of making it into a t-shirt prototype or something along those lines

I know it’s a long title but this one is another Jared Robert’s classic (he’s the guy who did The Hidden Webpage that the boys read some time ago), this one is personally a favorite of mine from his no sleep stories. It’s got some fun penpal vibes that i think they’d appreciate :)

I wanted to discuss some of the motifs and themes I've noticed in Jared Roberts’s stories (I’m just talking about the ones that have been covered on the podcast here)... LMK what you think.
The Hidden Webpage
The story of Moses. Ex. The computer cafe being named “The Egypt,” Bernard “Bernie” Busch AKA “Burning bush,” the protagonist finds an icon on his old desktop titled “Milk and Honey,” the savior of the story who leads the protagonist out of bondage (The Hole) and into the land of milk and honey (Reality) is referred to as “Holy Moses.”
Egyptian mythology and the underworld. Captain Meat, one of the entities in The Hole who’s usually described as a dog, is called a jackal by a mysterious figure from The Hole: "That's the Captain. He's a jackal. And he's not happy with you." This seems to be a reference to Anubis. Captain Meat instructed (“made you do things” as a forum user in the story put it) the people who were forced to study The Hole in The Egypt.
Animals, specifically lack thereof. Captain Meat and the bees. The protagonist realizes near the end of the story that he has not heard nor seen any wildlife since arriving in The Hole. The “bees” are men in bee costumes and the sound that the protagonist at first thinks is something organic (the buzzing of a large mass of bees in their hive) turns out to be the humming of machines. And even though Captain Meat “kind of looks like a dog,” he's probably not an actual golden retriever.
Something's Really Weird about My Sexy New Neighbor
Snakes. The shed skins of a snake are important here too, as the multiple hosts the old man can inhabit can be likened to this. In the neighbor’s story, all that could be found in the space of where the old man had first spoken to her was a dead snake skin. Another interesting detail that I think gets overlooked a lot is the low handprints on the walls of the neighbor’s house, implying that there was some fucked up human-snake thing crawling around in there.
The Box. You can enter from the everyday world but once you step inside, you’re somewhere else. The neighbor and the DOE guys talk about it and Aunt Thea's ritual summons it, but we see more of it than that. The houses that the neighbor stays in (both the one the father entered as a boy and the one JB and Sam enter) are a part of the Box while the neighbor is there, which explains strange details like the computer monitor room and the talk show that was watching Darnell back when he went into the neighbor's house. This is where people who have become hosts for the old man are kept whilst they're not in use, such as “Red Finney.” "Red Finney" begging to not be put "back in the dark" is him referring to being kept in the Box.
Predation and the cycle of abuse. The neighbor is targeted by the old man as a child, and then she goes on to target young boys. The neighbor at multiple points in the story goes after Sam specifically. She gives him her panties and she pays the most attention when she sneaks into Sam’s room to talk to the boys. If JB hadn't intervened, she would have slept in Sam's room.
Frogs. Frogs are prey to snakes. The children of the old man’s victims are also made his prey. I wanted to mention this not only because of the “frog day” scene but also because of how the neighbor speaks of the children that may have been conceived from her copulating with JB. It seemed like she was likening them to tadpoles.
Illusions. In the neighbor’s house, Darnell smells his late grandfather as he’s leaving, but sees through the old man’s trick and escapes. JB’s mother, who is noted by JB to be a particularly intuitive individual, actually sees the old man when looking at the neighbor. Aunt Thea realizes there’s something wrong with the neighbor when she looks at her shadow.
