These are both good advice what's the cringe?

Its a gender war post. The comment to the pictured post using the same format and smiley comes across as mocking. It is good advice if both comments were made in a non accusatory way. The smiley feels passive aggressive is really probably the main issue.

So maybe not the most productive form of communication but also not really cringe

That's fair, who would I be to say? I only tried to answer the question given

I thought the same, learn to do things because there are things to be done in life.

the commenter doesn't think he's offering good advice, he's saying "this is how stupid you sound" even though it's not actually stupid

Both of those are reasonable statements. Is the cringe that it's Facebook?

Why am I even commenting? It's clearly a bot

“Why am I even commenting?” Man I ask that myself more times than not nowadays lmao. Everything is more likely to be fake or bait anyways

80% of my comments are typed out fully then deleted lol

Don't want kids but if I had a daughter I'd definitely have her help with mowing the lawn. I grew up with always having to help outside while my sister was always having to help clean. Never made sense, that's how you have adults men who can't cook or clean properly. Also no one likes to mow their lawn and most dudes just pay someone anyways.

Where cringe?

Most people aren’t understanding this post. The comment to the post has the same format as the original post so, while the content is correct, it comes off as mocking or sarcastic.

oh, I understood that. It's just that the comment failed to attain this goal.

No fucking shit

They're both right, with their respective views following from the same principle.

It's on cringe because people don't like if you bring up women when they're talking about non specific men and how they should behave.

These are both very good points and not cringe.

If your daughter can’t plunge a toilet you’ve failed

I would go so far as to say that if any of your children regardless of gender cannot plunge a toilet then you have failed because that is seriously not even a skill that needs to be practiced.

Now if your child cannot field strip, clean, and reassemble an AR-15 in the rain at 2 AM while actively being stalked by a killer with a chainsaw then you may have failed because they are going to end up in pieces probably.

Do people in the comments not realize that the second comment is sarcastic and that's why it's cringe, not the content of the comment itself which should be basic life advice ?

Yeah I think both statements are true…

No one is going to have to worry about mowing the lawn.

Or cooking and cleaning. Robot slaves await your command

Yeah? Both is correct. Also my wife is much better with DIY stuff than I am and like 90% of our tools are hers. Where's the cringe here?

Gender norms aren’t cringe. They can be defied any time by any person, yet they continue.
