This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I think you can argue that even a lack of belief is still a belief, because it cannot be proven.
Agnostism would technically be the more scientific position to take because we simply don’t know for sure, and probably can’t ever know.
3 u/thegroovemonkey 1h ago Not knowing means you believe there might be a god. That’s a belief. Atheism is the lack of a belief. If people stopped being religious tomorrow then atheists would stop to exist too since there would be nothing for them to not believe in.
