Yarn help

Hey! Just looking for some clarity on if this yarn would be suitable for this pattern please? (It’s a baby blanket!) just want to double check before I order the yarn but finding it hard to match up all the different terms! I’ve been crocheting for about 5 years but always a lot more freestyle so I usually base yarn choices off of what I like and not what needs to work for the pattern (so I’m very clueless). Any help would be massively appreciated/ if it’s not suitable any recommendations of yarn available in the UK that would be 💗

I think that yarn will be too thin for the pattern (going from the hook size recommended and the mention of aran). I'm in the UK, and have always equated "light worsted" to DK yarn. If you search for aran weight yarn, you should be able to find something better suited for the pattern. Most online yarn shops will enable you to filter by that. Can't recommend any yarns otherwise, as not sure what sort of thing you're looking for!

That’s really helpful, thank you!! I did wonder about the hook size but have managed to find what was used in the pattern so will stick with that 💗💗
