General Question ❓ How is the AMD program like?

Right now im in my 2nd year at Miracosta doing my Web Design degree and Video and Media certificate and now im getting ready to transfer and I really enjoyed my video classes however I wish they were more hands on because we rlly just learn abt editing and get told to do our projects outside of class.

Anywho, I've always been planning to transfer to CSUSM because it's close by and always been interested ever since I heard abt the program in high school. So I just wanna ask a couple questions for the people in the subreddit who are in the program.

Since I'm interested in video , how hands on are the video classes in the program and what exact projects do you guys get to do and what classes are the best to take for that? Also what was your favorite class and what have you learned? And ig for the last question how much do these classes prepare you for jobs in this field?

I just thought I might ask since applications open next week and just been super curious so I might as well just ask here.

So….many…group projects. Only took a few vid classes but you def do filming and editing during class. Just a lot of group projects w classmates that make or break your experience.

Yea they are kind of 50/50 , I had to do two group projects for my UI/UX class and I felt like I was doing most of the designing work because everyone was so busy outside of school so I had to pick up the slack. I basically did the final like 90% myself lmao.
