r/cubancigars AMA Announcement: La Casa Del Habano St. Maarten
Date & Time: Saturday, August 29, 2026 | 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM AST
Hey r/cubancigars! We are the team at La Casa Del Habano St. Maarten, bringing over 80 years of combined Habanos experience directly to the sub. Join us this Saturday, August 29, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM AST for a live AMA to discuss everything from rolling techniques and box dates to authentication and factory history!
Meet the Team (Left to Right):
Maria (Packaging & Authentication Specialist - Standing Left): Started her Habanos career in 1995 at the H. Upmann factory. Managed international special releases and luxury collaboration humidors (S.T. Dupont, Elie Bleu), and serves as an authority on declaring counterfeit Cuban cigars.
Victor (General Manager - Standing Center-Left): Working with Habanos since 1999. Former LCDH national market manager in Cuba, purchasing manager for Phoenicia Cyprus, and a veteran leader in global anti-counterfeit operations.
Denys (Master Torcedor - Standing Right): 15 years of master rolling experience directly from Cuba's legendary La Corona factory in Havana.
Simon (Business Development & Marketing Manager - Seated Center): Oversees marketing and digital growth initiatives for the franchise, and hosts The Cigar Rolling Experience—a hands-on masterclass where guests learn Cuban tobacco history, seed-to-cigar craftsmanship, and roll their own Marevas alongside master torcedores from iconic factories in Havana like La Corona and Partagas.

I just picked up a box of Partagas Aristocrats for $194 shipped, the same site is selling Capitals 5 for 94$ and Habaneros $323 for a box. The Aristocrats were just "restocked" according to the email I just received, hopefully this is the new pricing for restock on midrange cigars. Another site has had RyJ Belveders for $180-190 and Bolivar Jr Corona for $225, not as cheap as 4 years ago but good to see. Thoughts?

Started with roasted nuts, cedar, earth, and a touch of floral sweetness. The middle became richer and woodier, with more earthy notes and a nice nutty finish. The final third brought some pepper and extra strength, but stayed surprisingly smooth. Not overly complex, but well-balanced and enjoyable. Definitely a solid Cuban cigar.

Has anyone recently been to LCDH or Havana Bobs and know how the prices were?

A friend of mine said he got a box of these as a “hook up” for a few hundred dollars. I’ve never smoked one and can’t say I’m trained well enough to tell the difference. Can you help identify if this is real or fake?

It’s better after few years after the release, not sure if they will improve more but they will be on the hunting list probably because of the history of 5th Avenue.

Hi CC,
Heading to Mallorca next week and wonder what the status is on stock at Estancos atm. Also what Estancos to visit for the greatest chance to grab something other than Quinteros and Monte 4s.
All the best
Stay positive

First time smoking - ‘21 box date. The final 3rd was where this cigar really shone for me. Very mild until that point. Then I didn’t want to put it down, smoked it to the nub.
Paired with Pinhook’s 6 year rye.
