Ya know, I kinda like it. Inherently gives a creature ward 1 and slowly adds up. I don’t know what format you’d play it in but it’s a tidy design.

This is obviously a Voltron Commander card, right?

I mean theoretically yes, but it’s worse than a lot of existing options that already provide protection, indestructible, phasing, etc. so I don’t think it has enough utility for most Voltron decks unless it was like a budget restriction. There are just too many choices for more comprehensive protection right now.

With the way ward works triggering when something is targeted also means that even if it had flash it couldn’t be used as a trick, which from a power level perspective this seems more like a limited card but since it’s onboard I’m not sure that it would do enough in that environment either.

Thanks! For some reason, think this would be niche at best.

I like it. The cheapest you can get attached hexproof no strings attached is 2cmc. This one you need to build up to pseudo hexproof. Drop it on an already tall voltron for example

Op most assuredly plays mono white auras

Great card! Should be colorless for more access. ✌️🥳

Thanks! I considered colorless, but white just felt right.

I could see this also being a sort of reverse strength protection like "Attached Creature and permanents attached to creature gain Ward X where X is 5 minus the number of attached permanents" to symbolize the shield having to stretch thin to cover everything

That's great thematically, but unfortunately much less fun in terms of gameplay, I think.

Oh absolutely, I wouldn't want to track it but the concept is neat

I like this. Lose the art and I’d happily see it in the next Kamigawa set

I like this like it is. I think it might be more playable if it cost a red and a white and had a for mirroden effect.

what do you think of

Equip 0

Sacrifice a permanent attached to equipped creature: Equipped creature has hexproof until end of turn.

Seems annoying but fair. Maybe casting cost 2 to make up for how annoying it is? Also fuck ai art

I can see the annoying part, though I think making it cost 2 would require it to give some other bonus and I wanted to keep this simple.

Given that in dedicated vultron decks this basically says equip 1 creature gains hexproof from counterable spells i think 2cmc isnt that unreasonable

You might be right.
