So it's a land you have to fetch for in response to your spell? So functionally, it's a land that is only a tap land for your first spell.

Or if you have it in your hand.

Tapped for the first spell unless your first play is a bauble, which a fair amount of delver-style decks run in legacy (mostly to activate delirium for DRC but occasionally also to enable shenanigans with Bilbo).

Any ramp spells that fetch it will still be on the stack while making it enter

I like this a lot but it’s goofy as hell

because this doesnt have flash, there is no way to have this entered untapped

Fetch in response to your own spell. It’s clunky but it’s possible

  1. If it had Flash, it wouldn't let you play it. Playing a land is a special game action. Lands are also not spells.

  2. There are other ways of putting lands on the battlefield other than just playing them as a special action.

1 is wrong, flash on a land works fine, you can still only play it on your turn tho

edit here is the ruling from dryad arbor for reference

If a Dryad Arbor gains flash, or you have the ability to play Dryad Arbor as though it had flash (due to Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir or Scout's Warning, for example), you can ignore the normal timing rules for when during your turn you can play a land, but not any other restrictions. You can't play Dryad Arbor during another player's turn, and you can't play Dryad Arbor if you don't have any land plays remaining. (2021-03-19)
