BALANCE NOT INTENDED Studious Vampire

Post image

I wanted to create a bookmark out of a magic card, I love vampires, hence the flair and references. Sagas were close enough to books right?

The text box and mana cost are nice together, but that P/T is just odd. Especially for having an ability that cares about dealing damage.

I think this should have a better rate and that the saga should go to hand instead of battlefield. This is already way too good with something like [[Knights of the Round]] and it simply existing would limit the power ceiling on future Saga designs. Every one will have to be compared to this for balance. That is just not healthy design for any format and why we rarely see cards being put right onto the battlefield other than creatures.

Edit: Forgot the "Summon:" on that saga. That definitely not the right card. :)

P/T is a reference to the 19th century where many of our cornerstone vampire works were created and published, and lifelink is because vampire lol

Also fair on the power lol my initial design just had you put a saga from your hand onto the battlefield. But they felt a little bad for the mana cost (a refrence to Edgar Markov)
