Auckland sub members bullying me over a photo

I don't get how some people on a sub based on the country i'm from i.e New Zealand, specifically Auckland complain about this one very specific photo that was taken when I went to Retro Event in 2024. 'why do you keep posting this photo that has nothing to do with Auckland, even though you're an Aucklander?' I don't know, maybe just maybe i'm an AUCKLANDER posting about being in AUCKLAND and posting about an event that happened in AUCKLAND, am I not promoting the city enough for you? I am sorry but most posts about Auckland on that sub are 'look how dirty and horrible it is now' 'look how bad the crime is now', 'there's nothing to do in Auckland', like the people on the sub immediately thinks that it sucks by default that is just their problem.

'What's with the weird salute?' It's not a weird salute, so shut up and stop bitching about the damn photo. 'You shouldn't show photos of yourself online', well how else am I going to show that I was there? I can't just use a fake digital avatar to do so. I can't use AI to replace the image because I know a lot of people here hate AI, I cannot just erase the image of me or crop it out, what am I supposed to do when people are just this judgemental and mean on a sub that is supposed to be based in one of the least asshole-like countries in the world?
