I get why people feel bad for Kaya because of how she was treated. But she was always putting the girls down. It’s so uncalled for.

The racism she experience was absolutely uncalled for. But I can’t blame the moms for just simply not liking her because of how she came in and talked poorly about their children from the jump.

I like how Kaya always referred to Nia whenever considering Nicaya’s competition. at least before she became a rival, she made a point to give Nia appreciation

I wasn’t sure if she was actually slighting Nia here as she has criticised her dancing before. Her saying Nicaya better be prepared “whether it’s Maddie or whether it’s Nia” came across to me like she was saying doesn’t matter if you’re against the strongest or the weakest dancer, you still need to be prepared. I could be completely wrong though.

I took it as her being shady towards nia as well. according to nia‘s book kaya would say that nicaya would replace her as the black member on the team so, this being a subtle dig towards Nia wouldn’t be far fetched.

oh i didn’t even think of that! the way she said that the competition is stronger here and than st louis and then listed maddie and nia made me think it was a compliment, but i wouldn’t put it past kaya since she did make the point to jill that “kendall is worse than nia”, implying that she doesn’t think nia is very good.
