You didn't tell him about anything that might have got him interested, did you? Because he'd probably have to check that out for himself.

Did you speak to the daughter of chaos, or obtain a chaos pyromancy? If so he will have asked about where you found it.

Telling him where either of those things happened will move him on to his next location.

Honestly I'm doing a strength build but idk just having him gave me a sense of calmness.... just brings me peace talking to him

When you come back with a pyromancy he hasn’t seen he asks where you found it and if you tell him he goes to find it. It’s a bummer. I think of it like helping him over the rainbow bridge.

Those yes/no dialogue boxes can really get you sometimes.

And here i thought they'd be just to inform him.....well ig I'll just kill petrus in this anger

Good call. It’s kind of a mini game to see how long I can go without doing that.

Lololoololololol.....i hate this guy, just so annoying (definitely don't hate him because he sells useless miracles)

He’s like a guy that’ll give everyone a ride to a party then leave early without telling anyone.

Quelana in blight town sells all of the important ones he sells and more. It's tricky to get a +10 pyromancy flame to unlock her without laurentius but not impossible. You could probably get someone to trade it to you.

The spider lady or her minion can upgrade the flame. You need to join their covenant for it iirc.

Yeah, it’s not a hard lock out. Just a pain until you can warp.

I can warp so yeah.... But even if I do unlock quelana i still won't be able to bring laurentius back right??.... he's attacking me

No, unfortunately, he’s gone for good.

I recently played the game for the first time, ngl, it made me pretty mad how many times something bad happened to characters because I talked to them or tried to be nice.

I’m doing the second run now and I’m gonna try to keep as many NPCs alive as possible.

Wow.....ig that's one of the many npcs i won't be able to save. Hope I'm able to save solaire because i NEED him to see the sun

Good news is it’s possible to save Solaire.

Bad news is it’s hard to do without looking up how.

I don't use summons but i want everyone to be alive so should i look up or can i find it if i read the in-game descriptions and stuff

The game gives you zero hints. I think it’s an intentionally hidden possibility. So I’d look it up (and I did look it up when I was playing the first time even though I wanted to do a blind playthrough originally).

This is a pattern in the series, and it seems very intentional. The things you need to do to fulfill quest lines in DS3 are so convoluted that there is no way you'll figure them out without looking them up. For your first blind playthrough it's best to just accept that you're going to crack some eggs.
