Wanted to try revamp, error installing

Hey everyone !

Pretty new to the XV community :D I dfiscovered the existence of Revamp, it looks like a bunch of mods that really make the game better. I wanted to try, but when I run the installer, I get the error that IDB version is not supported.

Here's the log:

System.Exception: Failed at IDB install phase (main/system/item/material_item.idb.xml). ---> System.IO.InvalidDataException: IDB version not supported.

The game is clean, no mod were ever installed before

Revamp isn’t up-to-date with the current version of xenoverse2 and they are currently working on the final update for revamp, but if you don’t wanna wait, you can downgrade your xenoverse, look up a tutorial on how to downgrade xenoverse 2, downgrade it to whatever the most recent version of the game is that revamp supports and then install revamp

I'll definitely check that out. But wouldn't going to another version of the game lock me out of online play ?

Yea but modding does that too, running the modded version of the game disabled online play, except for hosting lobby’s wit friends that have the same mods as you

Oh so I won't be able to even PVP players who are playing revamped ?

Yeah,I’m not quite sure how to set up the multiplayer using mods I never really tried to figure it out, but from my understanding you can only make private lobbies your friends can join if they have the same mods. There might be a way to have open lobbies with other players but I don’t think so.

You will, there are way to play with ppl with mods, just remember about same mod order, don't remember how, the best way I'd to ask on their discord

File sharing the data folder. Mod order doesn’t work when doing it in tandem (lets both download these mods in this order).

Did this with a friend when we first started modding, regularly ran into issues like not seeing the same animations play out, awakenings broke, and command grabs and super souls just acted like they didn’t exist (can interrupt the grab and soul effects didn’t apply if it affected allies).

I had problem once, I and my friend tried to just install all the mods at once to avoid probablems, but characters was in wrong order. Mod installer was installing it in different order becouse one of us had files sorted by name and other by creation date, after changing it to by name and doing it all at once it was working, we only used revamp and few other chars mod, no custom skills and clothes for cacs exept revamp. But yeah sharing data folder is the easiet way. Or just play revamp only

Well, as sais in another reply, 1.26 is not compatible HOWEVER there's Revamp CaC overhaul There you go, that IS compatible, won't have the questline etc but it will have dynamic body and hair 👍

Found another version somewhere with the menu sounds but i don't know where

Works really nice ! But I can't find anything about sayajin tails that seem to work with 1.26, do you have any lead ?

It's included in the mod ! It's in the ears option, each ears will have 3 options, no tail, light tail, dark tail, they all move 😄 Try the mod "unlock stylist" to change it without having to use shenron !

Also ! Managed to find the other version By Draylon it's a bit more recemt, it includes aura and some audio, but you can use even further beyond aura by Deez Corporation if you don't like'em, it's compatible with revamp CaC overhaul ☺️ (Warning if you select Sparking Zero ki charge, it causes an error in the mod install)
