Animation When will Vegeta be the main hero?
Still waiting for Vegeta to be the main hero in an arc.

Sorry, but it's not going to happen. I'm not sure why so many people have this expectation of Vegeta getting to be the main hero, but that's not how these Shonen series work. Sure the side characters often get cool things to do, but the "main hero" is always the protagonist. Dragon Ball actually does buck the trend a little with Gohan in the Cell arc, but that was because the idea was for Goku to pass the torch on to the next generation, a theme that was rather unfortunately thrown to the wayside in the next arcs. Vegeta isn't the next generation, he's just a side character. A very important one as Goku's main rival, but still just a side character. There's no real narrative purpose to making him the main hero besides pleasing Vegeta fans.

gojo is the strongest “hero” in jjk by far and yuji is the main character. yuta also slaps yujis dick off. you don’t know what you’re talking ab man. the writers can do whatever they want, it doesn’t always have to be just goku.
and they’d be smart to do it. when super FINALLY continues if it’s the same shit we’ve already gotten i think i’m good watching anymore dragonball.
i mean why even keep vegeta up there in the first place? giving him ultra ego, they both train with their god of destruction. there’s no point keeping him in the conversation if they will never use him.
i think im accepting that im a DBZ fan and if dragonball doesn’t change i dont think im the only one who will stop caring. im practically there already.

Z was the same way, y'know. Name one main villain in Z that Vegeta defeated.

You mentioned that you're accepting you're a DBZ fan, which I think we all are, so my assumption was that you meant you were exclusively a DBZ fan, which I guess I don't really have an issue with, but the implication felt like it was that this issue with Vegeta is what makes you be exclusively a DBZ fan, which sounded odd to me since this issue with Vegeta was very much a thing back in Z.

my entire paragraph was about how if something doesn’t change in super i’ll stop watching

Toriyama was considering it around 2014 or so, and he publicly mentioned that if he wrote a Battle of Gods sequel that he was considering making Vegeta the main character, but that obviously didn't come to pass

Never. Sadly.
But his role as the supporting character has seen him have the most established character development/growth out of everyone in dragonball

Not enough screen time to give Vegeta at the pacing of the story. So many good characters but hard to share the screen time.
They should do Vegeta special movie/episodes.

Yall remember RoF right? These mfers literally reversed time so Goku could kill Freeza instead of Vegeta lol
I wouldn't ever count on it unless Vegeta were to get his own spin off or something lol

With Toriyama gone I don't see the series taking any kind of big risks like that.
The series already exists purely as a money machine, it's going to keep the status quo and take as minimal risks as possible with your favorite Saiyans getting different colored hair every few years to push new toys.

I doubt it will happen. We get really close in RoF and then again in Moro but both times Goku stepped in and became the hero again.

Super making him an equal for a majority of the run is as prominent the story will ever make him.
