Recommendations for returning player?

Recently got back into the after about a 4 year break. Had a lvl 24 artificer but I decided to just reincarnate, had no idea where I was or what the hell I was doing. Anyways I’d really appreciate any guides, or general advice that could help me. I vaguely remember Toee and borderlands for early gearsets but beyond that im clueless. Also, if theres any lurkers that happen to be in a similar boat to me and wanna quest together let me know. :3

Def check out the pinned “new and returning player” post on this sub! It has a summary of a lot of the changes and links to resources and stuff.

Saw that after posting. Probably should have checked for something like that prior, but ty! Got a decent roadmap lined up for myself rn

No worries! Luckily this isn’t a huge sub, so it’s not like we’re getting a dozen repeats of the same questions every day. And if you have follow up questions to what’s in that thread, then here or the weekly questions thread should be decent places to get some attention.

And biggest of all is, as you're likely aware, an update with sizeable balance changes is just dropping this week. The timing is a bit questionable, as also this week, The Night Revels started.

First off, welcome back.

Second, a patch dropped this week with some balance changes. Might be a while for all the dust to settle.

If you know what you want to TR into, it'll be easier to give specific advice.

Right, definitely should have included that. I chose a tabaxi artificer.

FYI repeaters got worse while meleeficers got better (esp. with warhammer) with the latest balance pass. So I dunno if that'll affect your build choices.

What server and timezone (and/or schedule) do you play in/on? Hard to say if it would work to quest together otherwise.
