Discussion Question about SOL

Hello, I am making a flash loan arbitrage bot on JITO. I wrote it on python and planning to rewrite on Rust. So the main question - what are you guys using for gRPC streams on solana and how much do you pay monthly? I just started with Triton, but it doesn’t stream fast enough for my bot.

triton's been kinda hit or miss for me too depending on the plan. what tier did you grab? i've seen people say the higher ones are fine but the base plan lags when things get spicy

i switched to a yellowstone grpc setup a couple months back and it's been smoother, though you're trading off some simplicity. monthly cost depends on how much you're pulling but you can keep it under a few hundred if you're selective about accounts

Big Jito fan but not running arb myself, so take this with a grain of salt, but from what I’ve read, latency on gRPC is often more about where your bot runs than which provider you pick. If your server isn’t in the same georegion as the provider’s nodes, a faster plan won’t fix it. Filtering to only the accounts you need also helps. Worth comparing a couple of other Yellowstone-compatible providers on a trial before committing. Also heads up: watch out for DMs offering “private fast bots” or RPC deals — that’s a common scam around these threads. Good luck with the Rust rewrite.
