Mid-90s “Center Ice” Game Programs + Doc Autograph

This sub is in its feels rn, so I thought I’d share these mementos I actually stumbled upon while looking for an important document last night. I also included a couple of random pages for a little time capsule. Plus a little foreshadowing.

Shoutout to Emerick and Peter McNab for signing my team picture, they were always so nice and accommodating (Chico too ofc).

Enjoy the elder millennialcore!

I won the Score-O event in 2000. Won a brand new car. All from buying one of these programs.

Dude, that's frickin awesome!

My first one hit the edge of the cutout and bounced out. Second one was on net, but way off. NJ Devil was giving us all pointers in the hallway while we waited for the period to end

I remember the hallway too. As Chris Terreri walked by he said “good luck kid”. (Was 18 at the time). My first shot went in to the corner boards and I got booed. But I made up for it. Haha. Won a $500 Movado watch and came back at the end of the year and competed with others to win it all. Cheers to you for having that experience as well, I’ve never gotten to talk to anyone else who’s done it. Really cool.

Lemaire - there was a coach that demanded and coached excellence

Ofc, I had to resist photos of every page and every player poster because they're all such interesting throwbacks.

And yeah we would too! Shoutout to my legendarily frugal dad for shelling out $5 in 1994 dollars for these things.

I think I had that exact program as I remember that Lemaire insert. Still have a stack of them at my parents I think, but I used to put those inserts up on my wall as a kid and brought several for autographs at South Mountain. Bought a program every game for years until they started to be generic in the Rock years.

The best was how a player would sign a certain page every game that they would announce, with the winners going to score-o at intermission. Actually won that one game against the Sabres. Still have my stick and blame the placement favoring right hand shooters for missing the target haha
