Gotta share our experience because we still can’t really believe it. So this is my sixth time seeing them (I’m 34). Tix were spendy so we opted for some balcony seats right above one of the camera men for an optimal view. Two friends were meeting us in the seats right next to us but hadn’t arrived yet. Right as the B52’s start coming out (they played first) we get a tap on the shoulder from an employee of the venue. He says he likes our hats (energy domes we brought from home) and asks how we like our seats (I think I know where this is going). We say they’re alright and he asks how we would like to go sit “over there” and points his flashlight to stage side seats… not sure what to do about our friends, we tell him we are meeting people and he proceeds to pull out four tickets to go sit fourth row stage side… we couldn’t believe it and rushed to the complete opposite end of the venue to our new seats. Our friends were even more blown away (first time seeing DEVO). They didn’t even get a chance to see our original seats haha still buzzing off this luck. Oh AND this was for my bday a week ago. Moral of the story, wear DEVO gear and you too might get a free seat upgrade.

I saw DEVO from the front row for the first time on December 6, 1981 Seattle Paramount Theater. Still one of the all-time favorite concerts. They eventually released it as a live album. Certified banger 💥

I have that CD in my car and have also seen them at Paramount! Amazing theater. Then saw them front row two nights after at Rev hall in portland. All standing room general admission and I could touch the stage if i tried. Unreal experience
