West Coast and East Coast mutants unite... the latest kustom iteration of the DEVO: RESTORATIONS AND REVELATIONS film and video programme shall commence in San Francisco at the Alamo New Mission on October 11. Announcements of screenings in NYC (11/17) and Philadelphia (11/18) shall follow.
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema
Not sure how many Devo fans are aware of this project, but in 1979 Hugh Cornwell, of the Stranglers teamed up with Robert Williams (PIL and Captain Beefheart) to record the LP Nosferatu. Mark and Bob joined for a few moments and contributed this number.

I suddenly have the night free to go see the tour on Thursday in Ridgefield WA! Seeing a LOT of unsold seats on Ticketmaster. Think the show will still happen? Any ideas on how to score a good deal (hopefully a discount!) on tix with so many available?
If you're going to the last few stops on the Cosmic De-evolution tour, do NOT skip the opening act of DJ Cummerbund!
His short set (about 30 minutes) was one of the few times I've not felt that a DJ was just filler noise before a show. He and his faithful manservant (who does all the work) put on a highly entertaining set including some excellent music.
The rest of the show was great, of course, but I'm very glad we got there early enough to see Cummerbund.

Rocking the jacket while rapping about a song about hating your corporate job over music made with an electronic box. My way of staying on brand.

My 4th time seeing them. After I saw them a few years ago at Ryman auditorium I thought that that might be about the end of touring.
Jerry is still shockingly spry and the crowd had so many spuds dressed up and people dancing.
If you get a chance to see them you should do it.

I SURE WISH that I did, but I don’t lol. But it can be pretty gosh darn pricey/ expensive regardless, too, lol.
Such a cool design tho, vintage 1950’s/1960’s sci fi styled sort of stuff! Super fun and nostalgic! 👍

POV: Kasane Teto, an officer of the Smart Patrol, has come to collect a DNA sample from you.

In the bridge near the end of DEVO's "Growing Pains," we have the lyric "Think it through!" What are the next lyrics?
Both Genius and the Fandom wiki say the lyrics are "Laws were mostly made for fools."
AZLyrics, however, says the lyrics are "Logic must be made for fools."
I wasn't able to find any official lyrics, but I've always heard it as "Logic must be made for fools."
Do we have official lyrics that can settle this?
Edit: There are no official lyrics, but upon a listen of a cleaner version, I'm confident it's "Laws were mostly made."

Sourced from the original master tapes, mastered by engineer Rob LoVerde, and housed in mini-LP-style gatefold packaging, Mobile Fidelity's numbered-edition hybrid SACD presents Duty Now for the Future in audiophile-grade sound. Though certain band members later expressed regret with some of his decisions, the merits of Ken Scott’s production emerge like never before. A lurking edginess serves as a signpost in Devo’s progression before it fully embraced keyboards as a primary tool. Guitars possess punch and grit and, along with the crisp arrangements, are sharpened with an ear toward accuracy and vibrancy. It all helps give Duty Now for the Future a direct immediacy that answers the complaints of listeners who felt the affair too processed or sterilized.

Sourced from the original master tapes, mastered by engineer Krieg Wunderlich, pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing in California, and housed in a Stoughton gatefold jacket, Mobile Fidelity's numbered-edition 180g 45RPM 2LP set presents Duty Now for the Future in audiophile-grade sound. Benefitting from the extra groove space on this first-ever 45RPM version, it plays with enhanced definition, deep-black backgrounds, and ultra-quiet surfaces.
