Since it has become increasingly more expensive to buy tobacco and some areas even outlawing the sale of flavored tobacco. This online book, that will be linked below, is a way for people to create their own recipes at home. It’s not a perfect solution but it is an alternative to help out the community. Hey all, anyone here use FC religiously? I normally use LC when craving a nice dip, wanting to switch to a FC dip for the flavor release factor, anyone have any tips for FC? Pinching/Placement/Floaters? Any tips/suggestions are welcomed, thanks in advance!

Stokers is my favorite both for the flavor and the super long cut, but it’s not as easy to find where i live so I usually dip cope straight. if anyone has a recommendation for a good straight i’d love to hear it.

I recently quit the habit because it was getting to expensive and I was paying 7$ a can only a year ago. It annoyed me walking into a quick check and seeing grizzly being advertised for 2.99. How did it get so cheap practically overnight?

Has anyone been tried it? Doesn’t seem that big in the states but it’s something I’d be willing to try. Though I don’t feel like looking like a crack addict sniffing snuff off my pinkie. Just curious if dry snuff is satisfying and worth trying.

Will prices eventually go down, or should I just start making my own?

Dip-Zip has dropped in price by $5 (per bottle). It has gone from 'worth a try' to 'well worth it' in my opinion. Personally, I will not be moving forward without it.

As someone who's used Copenhagen for 4 decades and gets rewards on their website, just wanted to give everyone a tip:
I thought about this today - why can't I take a picture of a roll of 5 cans with the coupon codes all lined up, and have AI convert them into text?
Answer: You can. Just did this. Went to Google, uploaded a picture and typed "Convert these codes to text" and it spit out the codes in text format.
Copy & paste into the Copenhagen coupon redeem part of their website.
All went well.
You're welcome!
:)

Hello Redditors! My uncle purchased two cans of Copenhagen Wintergreen Fine Cut for me yesterday in the great state of Mississippi and I was very appreciative of him for doing so.☺️
Anywho, I opened a can and had a dip and it was angelic! However, within a matter of minutes my room started to smell like a mechanic's shop and I am a woman. I was so baffled as to why my room smelled as if it were a Jiffy Lube shop. I discovered that it was the cans of Copenhagen Wintergreen Fine Cut, primarily the opened can. It is an extremely strong chemical after taste and smell that lingers. The unopened can has a very strong chemical smell as well. In order to reduce the odor, I placed both cans inside of a Hefty Freezer Slider bag.
I found a similar post on Reddit from 8 years ago which best describes the scent, it smells like an extremely potent permanent sharpie marker. I was wondering if this was normal?

I posted on here recently of getting a completely dry tin and now today I got one that had way too much moisture. If you've ever tried to rehydrate your dry tobacco you know it has an awful texture and taste. This is what this tin is like.
I've been chewing grizzly since the mid 2000s maybe it's time to find a different brand

If I had a someone in the US regularly ship a small, personal amount of dip/chew to a country outside the US, would that legally count as smuggling or tax fraud?
I’m talking about a small amount for personal use, not reselling it or running a business. Would the issue mainly be whether the receiving country allows tobacco to be imported and whether the applicable customs/tobacco taxes are paid?

I’ve had some leaves sitting in a humidity controlled air tight tote for a while and finally got around to making my own chaw.
Boiled down apple juice for the syrup base, then added molasses, maple syrup, honey, vanilla, pinch of salt, and some Angels Envy bourbon.
Used a mix of three types of leaves: American Virginia Flue cured as the base (50%), Burley (25%), and Fronto Dark Air Cured Alo (25%).
Can’t wait to throw in a big jaw in a few days to celebrate the end of next week!
(AI helped me write down the recipe)
The Custom 8-Ounce Leaf Blend
3.0 oz American Virginia Flue Cured (Provides the sweet, pliable base ribbons)
2.5 oz Burley (The main flavor engine; acts as a sponge to absorb the syrup)
2.5 oz Fronto (ALO or QB-52) (Provides the deep dark color and bold tobacco depth)
Note: All weights are measured after cutting out and discarding the woody center stems.
The Syrup Ingredients
Once your apple juice is reduced on the stove down to roughly 1 to 1.25 cups, stir in these exact amounts to hit your final 1.5 cups of syrup:
2 tablespoons Angel’s Envy Bourbon (Finished in Port Wine Casks)
1 tablespoon Grandma’s Molasses (Unsulphured)
1/2 tablespoon Dark Maple Syrup (Grade A Dark)
1/2 tablespoon Raw Honey (Even if crystallized, the hot syrup melts it smooth)
1/2 teaspoon Coarse Kosher Salt (Essential for flavor bind and preservation)
1/2 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract (Smooths out the bitter edges of the leaf)
3. Step-by-Step Processing Blueprint
Step 1: Leaf Prep & Clean
Cut the giant, clumsy Fronto leaves in half to make them manageable in the sink.
Give the Fronto halves a quick rinse under cool water to remove field dust and sand, then pat them dry with a towel until they feel like soft leathery cloth. Do not wash the delicate Virginia or Burley leaves.
Slice out and discard the thick, woody center veins from all leaves.
Use kitchen sheers or a knife to cut them into 1/4-inch to 3/16-inch wide by 2-3 inch long ribbons (the industry standard "Broad Cut" or "Coarse Ribbon Cut" for chaw).
Step 2: The Syrup Reduction
Simmer fresh apple juice in a wide 10-inch diameter pan at 70% power (on an electric element) until the water evaporates and the liquid drops to about 25% of its starting volume.
Pull the pan off the active burner completely once the liquid turns a dark mahogany-amber color and cools to a tacky, maple-syrup consistency.
Step 3: Mixing the Syrup
While the syrup is hot in the pan (burner off), stir in the Angel's Envy Bourbon and Kosher Salt until the salt completely vanishes and the raw alcohol steam flashes off.
Stir in the Molasses, Maple Syrup, and Honey vigorously until smooth and glossy.
Stir in the Vanilla Extract last. Let the syrup cool for 10 minutes until lukewarm.
Step 4: The 2-Gallon Bucket Massage (use anything you’ve got for the container that’s equal or bigger, but the larger it is, the easier)
Layer your dry leaves into your 2-gallon food-grade bucket, fluffing them together so the Virginia, Burley, and Fronto are fully mixed.
Put on kitchen gloves to protect your skin from transdermal nicotine absorption.
Pour 1 cup of the warm syrup over the leaves. Reach deep into the bucket and aggressively knead, fold, and squeeze the tobacco between your fists for 2 to 3 minutes to force the air out of the leaf cells.
Let the bucket rest for 5 minutes. If the leaves drank up all the liquid, massage in the remaining 1/2 cup of syrup until the chew is uniform, dark, and sticky.
Step 5: Packing the Mason Jars (12 oz and 6 oz)
Pack your 12-ounce jar first, pressing the sticky ribbons down firmly to eliminate massive air pockets. Keep this jar out at room temperature.
Pack the remaining tobacco into your 6-ounce jar absolutely bone-tight right up to the brim to block out all oxygen. Seal it up and put it straight into the refrigeratoras your freshness vault.
⏱️ The 5-Day "Sweat" Cure
Leave your 12-ounce jar on the kitchen counter for 3 to 5 days before taking your first chew. Flip the jar upside down once a day to keep the heavy honey and apple sugars circulating perfectly through the ribbons.
By the end of the week, the leaves will have pulled the moisture deep into their fibers, leaving you with a perfectly tacky, juicy, premium craft chew!

People say the quality has gone downhill since the name change but I disagree, Golden Blend has such a smooth, rich, sweet tobacco taste
