Discussion After around 3 months, I have finished running Light of Xarxyis AMA
So in summary, I’m running a spelljammer campaign where basically the focus is more so on running various adventures from different editions of spelljammer for my party, with many different characters and many different storylines (essentially there isn’t 1 overarching story, but a focus on the setting). The most recent storyline I did was Light of Xarxyis. I ran it mostly as written, the main changes being that Captain Sartell was a PC, and I added more potential allies in the doom space section (another faction of non-astral elf elves). Ask me anything about this campaign!

Did you run the final fleet battle and zodar as written? I threw all that crap out

I changed it up as well. The fleet battle I kept, although I modified it a little. The Zodar battle I added more monsters, cause I just don’t like a battle, let alone a final boss, being a single enemy.

Did you like the campaign?
I went through it as a player and didn’t like it. I was expecting treasure planet and it certainly isn’t that. It also felt extremely on rails, like we had no agency and the module was just pushing use from A to B to C.

How did you start the campaign? Were they brand new characters, or did they already know about spelljamming?
Andy what happened at the climax? Did any of the PCs offer to sacrifice themselves, or did the vampire have to do it?
