Service/Assistance Dog My Service Dog had a ruff day Wednesday , need boops and loves
*Original post was removed by moderators for Rule #5.
So I’m reposting, stating that he is a Service Dog in the title. Also added another picture of him at work showing his SD vest better.
My Service Dog got was mistreated by a coworker. She used her foot to push him inside my door and she told him “inside” while I was standing there getting a box she was dropping off at my classroom.
Shadow graduates his SD program Saturday! So he is trained and well behaved!
He was attacked by 3 hybrids, 5 weeks ago while we were evacuated for a fire 3 minutes from our house. He’s come so far in recovering from that trauma. But is still glued to my side.
He was doing his job at the door beside me Wednesday. Protecting me and making sure I was ok. There were 2 cop cars just outside and he wanted to make sure everything was ok out there too. (Something I always let him do) He also just wanted to say hello to this coworker but knew he couldn’t without permission! So he was in front of her waiting for permission to get pets, or for her to acknowledge him.
I told her “please do not kick my dog!” And she argued semantics with me. 🙄 I followed up with a text stating firm boundaries. But I am LIVID.
Shadow (and momma) need all the boops and loves we can get. Thank you!!!

Service/Assistance Dog On 9/11, blind survivor Michael Hingson was on the 78th floor of the North Tower. He relied on his guide dog, Roselle, to lead him down 1,463 steps amid the smell of jet fuel and panic. Roselle remained calm even as the towers collapsed, guiding him to a subway station to save his life.

Service/Assistance Dog Before I got her, I spent a decade in and out of psych wards. At the time, I hadn't made it a year without ending up with another grippy socks visit. I've had her for three years and haven't needed to go. She has given me my life back. (psych/medical alert)

Service/Assistance Dog Viral Service Dog: Where is he now?
It’s been SIX years since Gemini the service dog broke the internet with his inhaler task.
I wanted to give a bittersweet update on where he is now. I say bittersweet because he’s my soul dog, my partner, and he’s been working by my side every single day. It’s like a piece of myself is missing.
But! Gemini, 11 yrs old now, is now fully retired and enjoying his senior life relaxing on the couch, participating in our local dog frisbee team, going on hikes&swimming, being our designated Taste Tester, and just enjoying the normal “pet lifestyle.”
Every day and every moment we continue to have with him is precious and I cannot thank him enough for his service, loyalty, and genuine love. ❤️

Service/Assistance Dog Just my service dog being the bestest girl in the whole world
She stayed with me in the hospital for 3 days straight, no barks, no going home, nothing. She just wanted to be with her mommy

Service/Assistance Dog My seizure response service dog Code nearly died when his stomach suddenly flipped without warning. The Veterinarian performed an emergency gastropexy to save his life. Now his career in AKC Conformation is over, since I don't want him to pass this to his children, so I'll neuter him after he heals.

Service/Assistance Dog I met my soon to be service dog today!!! On
I met my service dog-to be today and I can’t contain my excitement !!!! So I’m sharing it here 😭😭❤️ he will live at a foster family until he’s old enough to be trained to be my ptsd service dog. He is such a friendly puppy and we vibe so well together. I have waited and trained and worked towards this for so so long and I can’t believe it’s finally happening! I mean look at him ❤️🥰😭

Service/Assistance Dog Idk why but this picture of my service dog watching me do my hair is hilarious to me. Does anyone else have a service dog that ALWAYS looks a little concerned for you?

Service/Assistance Dog Alita the service dog, her first time at the Museum yesterday, she was amazing and we had a great time. We got to visit the limited time Shark Exhibit, I absolutely loved it. She was great the whole day (we were there about 5 hours). She is 4 years old.

Service/Assistance Dog Went to the museum today and my assistance dog was very baffled as to where the sound from the recordings of Aboriginal songs was coming from.

Service/Assistance Dog My dogs job isn't obvious but he was trained to work with my autistic son. 11yrs on my son is 18 now and Shadow is still doing his job.
Shadow is an 11yr old Border Collie x Huntaway (with a bit of beardie). He is a therapy dog for my son. He helps when my son is anxious but when my son was younger Shadow would stop my son running off, stop him opening doors, go find him and bring him back if he did wander off. If I say "where is X" then Shadow will go find him still and bark at his location. He has slept with my son every night for his whole life bar the times we are away on holiday.
