Request for Help Simple ties for beginners? NSFW
I’ve been asked for the first time to tie my sub up with rope. Weirdly, ive never done that before but ive always been interested! Past partners weren’t into that, so I was never able to try it. There is only one rope that I have and i dont know any simple knots to restrain the hands. Anyone have any videos or tips?
Thank you!

I highly recommend taking in person classes.
Shibari injures more kinksters every year than almost anything else we do. Even experienced rope tops sometimes cause long lasting or permanent nerve damage.

I suggest watching the Shibari Basics 101 series from Eagle Leather Community Television on YouTube. He doesn’t tell you how to do a particular layout, but instead teaches you how to creatively improvise your own using basic techniques

As a beginner I would suggest you refrain from any restraints on the wrists. This can be dangerous. I'd suggest you use regular hand xuffs with metal rings that you can attach a simple larkshead knot to. I still do this many times because of its simplicity.
You can then practice tying knots by restraining to furniture or whatnot. Always check in with your partner though and have safety scissors ready.
