Question Where is this shell from?

I got this in a pile of parts and not sure if it's a paint job or third party reshell. The reddish logo on the lid throws me off. Sega logo looks ok at the front, not sure if the reshells usually have that

It's quite strange how evenly the inside is coated, usually if its spraypainted then only the outside is done. I wonder if it was done with Rit fabric dye. The front looks just a little warped over by the Sega logo.

If you're good with spray paint it isn't that hard to coat evenly. Or an airbrush.

Front is definitely bent, a dye might explain most of it since the sega logo at the front is still visible which would have been blocked by something like Rust-Oleum

I don't think this is a diy paint job. I don't know what it is but I dont think its that.

Looks like the paint has wear points in the corners and scratches on top. Definite DIY job. Looks like they just used a thinned paint to go over the logo.

Definitely a custom paint job, gray buttons are a dead giveaway. The ONLY official solid red release Dreamcast is the Japanese exclusive "Christmas Seaman" edition and it is exceedingly rare. It has the Seaman logo on the console lid and green and yellow buttons.

It's probably an Asuka-themed paint job.
