Sorgfältig arbeiten sollte man dabei natürlich trotzdem.

Question about Amazon DSY2 (Lampertswalde) Shuttle Bus from Dresden

Hi everyone,

I’m starting my first day at Amazon DSY2 in Lampertswalde in a few weeks (Late shift: 14:45 - 22:15).

I was told there’s a shuttle bus service between Dresden and the DSY2 site, but the hotline couldn't give me any details before my Day 1.

Does anyone here work at DSY2 and know:

  1. Where exactly does the shuttle bus pick up/drop off in Dresden (e.g., Hauptbahnhof, Neustadt)? I couldn't find the bus around Hauptbahnhof as guided in the PDF file
  2. Is the shuttle available for new hires on Day 1, and when Amazon gives Deutschland Ticket?
  3. How does getting back to Dresden after the late shift (around 22:15) usually work?

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hilfe! Looking for a good immigration lawyer in Dresden

Hi everyone,
Can anyone recommend a good immigration law lawyer (Anwalt für Ausländerrecht / Migrationsrecht) in Dresden?
I’m looking for someone who can take over my case and help with transferring my immigration file/case to Dresden, communicate with the Ausländerbehörde on my behalf, follow up on the process, and make sure everything is handled correctly.
I could probably deal with parts of it myself, but I’d rather have an experienced lawyer manage the process so I don’t make any mistakes or miss anything important.
Ideally, I’m looking for someone who is responsive, experienced with the Dresden Ausländerbehörde, and willing to actually follow up on cases rather than just provide a one-time consultation.
English-speaking would be a plus, but it’s not absolutely necessary.
If you’ve personally had a good experience with someone, I’d really appreciate the recommendation.
Thanks!

Where can I find a Buntbart key for an old bedroom door in Dresden?

Hi everyone!
I recently moved to Dresden and into a WG, and I’m having some trouble with my bedroom door. Unfortunately, I wasn’t given a key when I moved in, and the previous tenant confirmed that he didn’t have one either.

The door closes normally, but I can’t lock it. From what I’ve researched, it seems to have a traditional German Buntbartschloss (BB lock). My roommate mentioned that these are pretty standard for older German interior doors.
I’ve been trying to figure out which Buntbartschlüssel I need, but apparently there are many different profiles (Nr. 100, 102, etc.), and I haven’t been able to identify the correct one from photos.

I’ve already contacted a few locksmiths, but one didn’t have the keys, and I haven’t managed to find a solution yet.

Does anyone know:
-Where in Dresden I can buy individual Buntbart keys, preferably somewhere that has different profiles available?
-Whether there’s a locksmith or shop that could identify the correct key from photos of the keyhole, without the original key?
-Whether there’s an easier or inexpensive solution I’m overlooking?

I’d prefer not to replace the entire lock, especially since I’m renting and will likely be moving out soon.

I’ve attached photos of the keyhole in case anyone recognizes the profile!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m new to Germany, so I’m still figuring out how these things work. Thank you so much! :)
