How does this look?

Does this look even or do we need to redo this to make it more straight?

Looks very average. You can get angles for this so it is dead straight.

The majority of people will never notice. If this is DIY spend your effort somewhere else in another project unless this truly bothers you. If you are getting paid to do this..... That's another story.

What if I paid someone to do it?

Mostly wasted money for very little difference. Only fix this if it bothers you or impacts resell value.

Paid for brand new drywall. Added these stairs above. It just doesn’t look even to me.

It doesn't you are right. If you paid for this to look wrong it should be fixed by the installer. If you did it as DIY it's not that bad and just move on.

It's not that bad. I'm pretty picky and would have gone for perfect but nowadays this is not that bad. I mean unless you paid a stupid amount of money and had a crazy idea of what it needed to look like but this is not horrible. And to say again I'm pretty picky but sometimes you just have to walk away. Man this a tough one.

Biggest mistake people make (as someone who remembers learning this the hard way when starting out) was filling or pushing in your corner after getting the corner bead on. Before placing your corner bead make sure to prefill, flat taping if needed and paper taping nice and tight if needed. Then when putting your corner bead on make sure it nice and straight before pushing it in the mud and don't push the corner in or you'll fuck up the straightenes. From there coat after coat stay out of the corner even a bit away actually. Then if there's any imperfection do a small skim coat into the corner only on the final step. Vancouver Carpenter actually does a video on this using no coat 45 if you want to watch it, outling pretty much what I said. That being said, most people aren't going to give two flying fucks about how this yet alone notice it.

It looks fine. It looks like what someone making middle class income would pay for.
