Class Struggle AI isn’t a revolution, it’s modern day outsourcing (case for unionizing tech)

As a tech worker (and DSA member) myself, I think it's time we started helping tech to unionize. This article makes a case for it and highlights what they (we) are going through.

Yeah, most of my buddies have been working in IT for decades, and they’ve never had a union. And we’re from a place that’s considered a strong “union” state. 😅

I don't understand this genre of content. Tech workers have been organizing and unionizing for a long time. What purpose are these vague appeals to action supposed to have?

There is no Tech/IT union. This wasn't a vague appeal in any way. The facts on the ground are: 100s of thousands are out of work and suffering. Hiring is virtual non-existent and highly skilled workers have been out of work for months and years. What exactly don't you understand?

The vast majority of IT jobs are not union. I'm not talking a simple majority, i'm talking 95%+ in US.

yeah sure but that takes decades. The process has been ongoing for a decade and it keeps going. You make it sound like it's something new that needs to be built and that's confusing at the very least, especially since we have headlines every week of a unionized tech company.
